Nice stay at Chelito’s
Good hostel at very affordable price for near historic centre.
Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Bathrooms are always very clean. Did not have a problem with shower temperature even at night.
The owners are friendly, and are happy to facilitate late night check ins and outs. And can leave bags after checking out before getting night buses.
Wifi poor in some areas but that’s not a big deal.

Cusco-esque wall art in here
Nice cosy vibes in this hostel, and loved the cusco-esque wall murals! Thick blankets. Not easy climbing up and down the upper bunk bed due to the design of the bed -_-" Shower and toilet is slightly smaller than expected, and shower wasn't as hot, but this is Cusco and a cheap hostel so it's fair.

Best hostel in Cuzco
I was very happy to come back to Cuzco and stay at Chelitos again. The place is amazing, the rooms are clean and the lady is sooo friendly. I would recommend everyone to stay at Chelitos and hope to come back soon!

I will stay here again if I come back to Cusco
This hostel is about less than 5’ walk to the Dan Pedro market. There are shops and restaurants nearby so it is very convenient. The facilities are clean. I love the comfy beds. I am allergic to cats and there are cats in the hostel but it’s not anyone’s fault. There are separate man and women toilets and bathrooms downstairs and there is one bathroom and toilet for the room upstairs. You need to provide your own toilet paper since there is none in any of the toilet. There is a small kitchen but I didn’t use it. When I stayed at the room upstairs before my trek, I tried to take a shower at night but it ran out of hot water. When I came back from my trek, I took shower in the morning in the bathroom downstairs since my room is downstairs this second time, I got hot shower. This hostel is family owned and they are wonderful. They make you feel like part of their family. Yta, doesn’t speak English but so warm and so knowledgeable. Sara, her daughter speaks more English, helped me with information about the tour. Both Yta and Sara helped me mapped out my trek from Choquequirao to Machu Picchu. They told me which bus to take and how much I should pay. Usually, nobody will be at the reception, but the family lives in the hostel so whenever I need anything, I just knock on their door and either Yta or her husband will come out to help me. They let me store my bags in the reception area when I went trekking and also on the day that I checked out but my flight is not until late evening. There is a boy staying at the room in front, who opens the door for people who check in early, like I did, I arrived at the hostel at 6am on the first day and also for those who go on tour at 4am. I really like this hostel and probably stay here again if I come back.

Beautiful and cheap little hostel, run by amazing hosts!
I really loved this place! I got along great with the hostel owner and her mother. I met some nice friends while staying here. It has a great atmosphere, with art on the walls.
Room at 15 soles in offseason was awesomely cheap. Wifi was reliable, kitchenette available, backpack storage in their locked office. Unfortunately no hot water in the shower at the time, but for me personally it's not an issue as I take quick showers.
The location is really unique too. It's a 10 min walk from Plaza de Armas, but on the other side of the really touristy, overpriced part of the centre of Cusco. It is near the San Pedro Market, and is in proximity of local restaurants where one can pay 5 soles for a local meal.
