Hidden gem in the Andes

Went there for 4 days. The trip from Arequipa was very long, but it was certainly worth it. Hotel Vallehermoso was an oasis in the middle of the long trip. We had some good breakfast with local bread and local fruits. Definitely would like to come back.

Tourism

We had great times at Hotel Vallehermoso, a very quiet place.Nice room with bathroom,hot water 24 hours a day.Good breakfast,magnificent garden with Alpacas and Llamas,fruit trees,beautiful flowers.Signora Glisely is very helpful and clean.We stayed 2 weeks.The Luicho and Lucha thermal baths are healing and the water heals stomach and gastritis.

probably the best

very quiet, ( except the dog barking sometimes at night) nicely furnished, good location with a beautiful view, very helpful people although I would advise first to go to the bus terminal because they do not know much about buses: you can easily go to many places in the valley just using public transport, just check and ask the right persons because it can be tricky to find out even at the bus station (and I speak Spanish...).
breakfast is good but a bit too light... freshly squeezed fruit juice, a slice of avocado, one egg ... it's ok for a small appetite...

Beautiful hotel in Cotahuasi

We stayed at Vallehermoso over New Years. We arrived around 430am off the bus from Arequipa and were able to check in early to catch up on some much needed sleep! This is a beautiful place to base yourself for your stay in Cotahuasi, the rooms are spacious, clean, warm and comfortable; the grounds are lovely to relax in; and the hospitality is great. Breakfasts are tasty, with fresh fruit juice and amazing avocado. We also had a great meal on New Years Eve, which included Pisco tasting - a NYE to remember! The family and staff are so incredibly friendly and welcoming, with lots of advice for trips in the surrounding area. Cotahuasi is beautiful - we totally recommend it, and staying here!!

Nice location, clean rooms and hot shower.

I am Chris from Germany, together with a group of travelers we stayed in Hotel Vallehermosa. It was nice, clean, good food and a hot shower. From there we did a tour to several spots in the canyon. They have a nice garden were we made one night an offering to the Apu of Coropuna. Overall it is worth to visit Cotahuasi and the surroundings. Incredible views you will have also coming from Arequipa.
