Hidden Gem

What a hidden gem. We discovered this camp by accident and had a wonderful stay. The camping space is large with a nice private bathroom and kitchen block. It is close to the Nkasa Rupala Park in Namibia. There is no camping in the park, only a very run down community camp outside the park which was not pleasant at all. Hence we landed up at Livingstone's Camp. The access road is quite bad and you think that you are completely lost - but when you arrive you will be pleasantly surprised.
They are busy building a bar / restaurant and pool area which will really be great once complete.

Very private and a great atmosphere

This is a special place to camp in a wonderful location - especially once the water floods back on the plains. It’s obviously been a bit neglected by the past manager but a new couple are running it now with big plans and I hope they succeed. A bit more greenery would brighten it up: the sites are very private and clean and everything worked. Thank you to the managers for fixing our gas burners too, blocked by dust!

Underwhelmed

This place has been run down. The old manager has gone and there is a new guy that doesn’t seem to care about the camp very much. The ablutions are adequate but only got lukewarm warm water. Everything is very overgrown. This place needs a lot of TLC before it is worth the very expensive camping rates of N$800 per night for two people. The website must have been produced in more affluent times, it looks nothing like that now. Would not recommend.

Livingstone's camp, a little paradise.

Without a doubt one of our best camping accommodations of our African road trip in a park away from mass tourism. The campsites are incredibly well maintained. The private lapa and sanitary block is a real luxury which allows you to fully enjoy the visit of the elephants to the camp and the surrounding nature. A very big thank you to the whole team who manages this magical place wonderfully.

Terrific wilderness retreat

A truly great experience. Fantastic campsite with a knowlegeable and very nice manager and guide, Stefanus. He knows everything about animals and plants in the reserve. We saw elephants, buffalo, hippo and many sort of antilope. Visit this place!
