Beautiful riad, central to everything but in a quiet part of the medina. Ben Salah is the nearest taxi drop off point a few minutes away, and Aziz met us at the taxi to lead us to the riad (after that first time, it was easy for us to navigate ourselves).
Breakfasts were delicious - traditional homemade Moroccan food (the cake was divine!).
Cute rooftop area with pool - a bit too cold to take a dip in it in mid April, but I imagine it's refreshing in the summer.
One evening we got a bit lost using Google maps after the medina walls closed, but Aziz helped navigate us via WhatsApp and we found our way safely back.
The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Thank you!

positive opinion about our stay!

Very nice ryad, decorated with great taste, clean and impeccable bedding. Delicious breakfasts. Ideally located in the medina a few minutes walk from the souks. It is in a small alley but the neighborhood is safe and a guard is present at night. Nice rooms and terrace and a small swimming pool.
Lovely and very dedicated staff. Many thanks to Simon and Aziz for their kindness and valuable help.

It was in a very small alley way where at night it was empty and scary to walk back as girls.

NEVER AGAIN ! Do NOT book at this ryad.... scammers and cheaters !

We booked 3 nights by Hotelrunner for 216 euro/night at Ryad Selyen with conditions to be able to free cancelling. (clearly mentionned on my confirmation) We booked their suite to get the most comfortable room. The suite was nice but very very cold and almost no light. Due to problems with electricity in the whole (very bad) neighbourhood we did not have heating (not possible by A/C ,not working) the room was icecold 24/24. We hardly had any electricity at all. We had to leave because of this terrible situation after 1 night : the owner/manager confirmed the problems but refuses to refund us the 2 nights although our cancellation conditions are clearly confirmed by Hotelrunner. They robbed us for 432 euros !! they ignore our emails and whatsapp and probably blocked my number. They are really scammers !!
The ryad is located in a very scary dark alley, in a very bad neighbourhood where taxidrivers do not want to pick you up or drop you off. DO NOT BOOK AT RYAD SELYEN if you want a nice relax holiday !!!
