Great location good value
I've stayed here 2 nights in a smaller room on ground level and was charmed by the inside of this traditional hotel.
The tiny birds came through the open roof in the middle of the building to get fresh water from the fountain and that made for a great impression, the terrace is beautiful but needs new stairs. They're sketchy to say the least.
Small but comfortable rooms with sinks, clean lavaratories and showers.
You're on Djemaa El Fna in 3 minutes, great location.

Disappointing but not disastrous!
Good points first. The proximity to the beach and beach bar was great - just a walk across the road. The staff there were friendly and the quality of bar food was good. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. It was within walking distance of the medina where there were some good restaurants.
Not so good.
I messaged the hotel with various questions prior to arrival. Only one was answered despite me repeating them. Booking.com followed these up me as well twice but they didn’t get any reply either.
The hotel bedrooms were tired and dated. There is renovation work going on which is good but we didn’t know about it and it was quite noisy around the pool.
There was a problem with our understanding about breakfast which we were partly to blame for but an easy mistake to make. When we chose the restaurant one of the hightlights described by Booking.com was good breakfast. Given the price of the hotel for a week we assumed that meant it was included as in nearly all of the hotels in this price range we have been to breakfast has been included. It was 180 dirhams ( roughly 18 euros) each but the standard and quality were well below what we are used to in this class and price of hotel. Needless to say we ate breakfast elsewhere.
The only other thing that upset us was the young lady behind the bar. When we asked for a glass of ice to take to our room in the evenings she insisted we ring room service to deliver it. But we did that the first night and it arrived over 30 minutes later! Luckily she was only on duty 3 out of the 7 nights we were there. The other staff were very helpful about supplying us with ice.

SCAMMED US
SCAM HOTEL! Avoid Hotel Medina in Marrakech. They demanded we pay twice once through booking.com and once in person, then kicked us out when we refused, even while we were on the phone with Booking.com. We were left in 40°C heat with 5 suitcases searching for another hotel. Dishonest and stressful experience. Booking.com lacked in support too. I saw a few negative reviews and figured it wouldn’t be me, it was.

not up to the level of the service sold in the catalog! 5 stars ???!!!
repetitive and low quality cooking! upon arrival in the room safe does not work! no phone (wire cut) no TV remote control! such repairs immediately for the rest we are still waiting...! all inclusive but tasteless alcohol!! undrinkable! without any flavors! Only 1 snack bar open from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.! the rest of the time.....service sold on advertisement not at all real! quite disappointed!! on the other hand, very friendly staff who listen attentively and kindly!

The staff was the best! So nice and welcoming, always helpful and caring. The rooms were also good for their price and we enjoyed ourselves. Less good was the shower and also the electrical outlet in our room. There was only one and it was broken, so it gaped when charging the phone, for example.
We were also a little sad that no breakfast was served.
But overall this was a good place if you mainly want somewhere to sleep and spend a lot of time outside.
