Delicious Moroccan meal on a magnificent terrace in the middle of the medina rooftops! I recommend

It is a dar and not a ryad (according to some comments), it is not to be confused
Hard to find but great location
Many restaurants and shops of all kinds nearby
And once in the Medina, everything is close
There seems to have been a change of directors over the years according to the first names of previous comments, hence the difference with our experience
The heating in the room was efficient as long as it was fully cashier, but, no heating in the common room
It quickly removes any desire to dine there, if dinner there is
At breakfast, everyone had a coat
Those who had taken the blankets out of the rooms were asked to go and postpone them to avoid dirtying them
... so it is not washed between customers
... what else???
Breakfasts were "correct", without more
Nothing hearty and very redundant ...
oh, on sunday there are boiled eggs
Coffee decanters have 2 1/2 small cups
We asked for more:
1st morning (mother): reply in Arabic ... no return
2nd (mother): she gave us the rest of another table, 1/2 cup ... sorry for the others, they had to do without
3rd morning (son): yes yes yes yes immediately
...he came back to serve the other tables several times but nothing for us
We didn't ask again the other mornings
No TV
She could be in the common room.
It was too late to ask but since not being in the room it was not suitable
Same for the kettle
One hairdryer for the whole establishment and on request
... there were ladies/girls who were not very happy
It was not said to return after use, so the others had to do without
Fortunately no worries for hot water
However, the quantity of towels was largely insufficient, both for the number of occupants and the number of days
Soap, shampoo and conditioner are not listed, so there was none
Only hand soap
No disinfectant liquid as mentioned (probably listed a few years ago and forgot to revise)

Blue gate access

Location, location. Location.. location is tops... 3minute walk away from the blue gate.. a bit tricky to locate at first but once younget used to it... location is near most restaurants and shops.. with easy access to the blue gate (where most tours use as meeting point)... every mmebers of the host family were really nice and accomodating even though only a frw spoke english.. breakfast which is included in the room was decent... keep up the good work Hlimi Family

Lovely small Riad with nice breakfast.

We were given a local referral to this beautiful residence. The room and facilities are very well kept. We were happy with the room and layout. Very quiet for sleeping.
Breakfast was prepared each morning to match our schedule.
We would stay here again when we are next in Fes.

Dar Hlimi is the best

i was me and my friends around morocco ,and when we arrive to fes, we go to dr Hilmi wish was wish was great, was very hopeful we really enjoy thank you Dear Hilmi we want go again the do desert trip from fes and activities around fes day trip to meknes volubilis and day trip to middle atlas and can give you information about fees city the old media and new medina
