Better than expected

Clean,quiet small single room, warm once I had discovered the heating under the net curtains, TV and electric kettle, and an ideal location, within walking distance and shops, restaurants, supermarkets and bus station. All in all, a great stay, with a decent breakfast and absolutely charming reception staff, only to willing to help. Excellent value for money.

Biplan City

Room:
We requested a quiet room. What we received was road noise and people talking all night long.
We also reserved a room (and paid for) with twin beds, we were given a small double bed. When we spoke to staff about this we were told that was all they had left. No apology, no discount, we were expected to accept what they gave us.
I can not remember a time when I have reserved/paid for certain features and the hotel just did what they wanted to.
There was a plastic kettle, we had to place it on the floor in order for the plug to reach the socket.
The AC had a very bright light on it that shown straight on my face, it lit up the whole room.

Breakfast:
Boiled eggs, some soft some hard boiled all mixed together, processed cold cuts, tin beans like in England, slimy, fatty pork slices their version of bacon (?) Fresh vegetables cut up, no fruit, potato pancakes very oily and all stuck together, water in pitcher had particulars floating in it, small breakfast area, processed grocery store cheap cookies, olives/ pickles/ beats.. cheap cold cereal.
There was enough to find something to get started but I can't recommend paying extra for this sort of breakfast.
Parking:
Located in back of property, it is scattered, only few spaces on concrete, others under trees, off road etc

Modest, but okay

This is a very modest and small hotel. It was also quiet. Room was clean and nice, it didn't feel like hotel (for example there was no telephone). Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. I guess that the location was great. Parking was behind the building. Breakfast variety was modest.

Lovely place

Lovely aircondition, good breakfast and location is lovely. Good value for your money. Eveything what you might need is inside 1-2 km distance. Parking is avalaible at background of the building. You might want to ask second key card for your room also.

Very pleasing

This hotel is handy for the bus station and not bad at all for the railway station. There are plenty of shops nearby too and it is close to the sights of Daugavpils (or the tram to get there). The room was good and comfortable. The breakfast was quite ample and pleasant. The staff were helpful indeed. There is no lift, so I'd enquire about that before booking if of reduced mobility.
