Clean hotel with very new modern rooms, a lovely breakfast buffet with everything you could need and the hotel is right by the bus stop.
Definitely get a hire car if planning to stay here as there are so many nice beaches to visit around 20 mins away, buses aren’t very reliable so a car is a definite need. We felt quite restricted without one and spent around €40 one way every taxi compared to €50 for a hire car.
Woman at the front desk was very welcoming and we had no issues checking in until we got to our room, I had booked a sea view but opened the curtains to find a view of an alley and some bins. This was disappointing and when we told the woman at the desk she informed us our sea view room had an issue with the lights and wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow, she hadn’t told us this initially which was quite annoying. After a bit of back and forth we did get moved to a sea room like I’d paid for, I will say if you book a sea view it is obstructed by the restaurant roof unless you are on the very top floor.
The room was lovely and clean although there was a bit of a stale smell and the hallways smelt of cigarette smoke on our first night. The bathroom let the room down as it had not been updated to the same standard as the bedroom, bubbles would come up the drain after every shower and there was a large gap between the door and wall so not much privacy when you’re in the bathroom.
This hotel definitely had pros and cons but for a cheap stay it was perfect for us.

No one manned the reception and the hotel was still being renovated. The hotel should not have taken our booking as it really wasn’t open properly. I chose it as it claimed to have a restaurant and bar neither of which was open due to the refurbishment. Although our room was clean and ready, most rooms were not. Tradesmen were wandering around, leaving a mess, cigarette smoke etc in public areas. The floors were filthy with plaster dust/ paint etc. It was noisy due to the work and the roadworks directly outside. Frankly we didn’t want to be on the premises. There was no apology for our discomfort. We should have been given the option to cancel, as they clearly knew the works would not be completed before we arrived.

There was a wedding on process when we arrived. Happy festive vibe.
The front desk manager carried our bags for us. Happy man.
The beach and water in front of the hotel were amazing. Just a few steps across the street.
It is rated as a 2 star hotel. Its older You get more than you pay for.
PS we did not crash the wedding. Just enjoyed the atmosphere from a distance.
