Great Value!

We enjoyed our two night stay and would return. Essentially a mid-size guesthouse with a fabulous breakfast buffet, Hydroussa ranks high for price/value. Located in a restored captain’s mansion and near but away from the harbor’s bustle, the property is on a quiet square with comfortable beds and basic in-room amenities. The 24 hour reception staff offer a warm greeting and helpful service; the open courtyard is a relaxed setting for breakfast. The little tavernas nearby close early and the front street offers great mule train watching. Highly recommended. We have visited Hydra regularly for the last ten years but have always reserved at the more obvious accommodations. This is our new place.

Great location, beautiful hotel and lovely staff.

We stayed for 2 nights and wish we’d stayed longer. The room was spacious, modern and clean, the location was great but the staff were the ones that made the stay a 5. Felicia in particular was very helpful and friendly. One word of advice, don’t use Apple Maps to locate the hotel.

A really enjoyable stay & highly recommended.

A very good 3 star hotel & wont disappoint. Bed comfortable, breakfast excellent very polite, friendly & helpful staff. It certainly has a charm & look forward to returning.

Charming hotel, highly recommended

Great location 200m from the harbour, quiet, no stairs, close to everything! Charming place, beautiful rooms and yard for breakfast, reading, or otherwise relaxing. Staff polite and very helpful. We had a wonderful time, and would definitely stay again when back in Hydra.

Excellent stay at Hydroussa Hotel

We were a group visiting Hydra for mountain hikes and beach days, and Hydroussa Hotel was the perfect base for our trip. The staff were very accommodating, and the breakfast in the courtyard was a great start to each day.
Rooms were comfortable, traditionally furnished and well equipped, with efficient AC, fast Wi‑Fi. Towels available for beach visits were a big plus. The hotel’s charming house cat, Johanna, added a lovely touch. The short, step‑free walk from the port made arrival easy, with no need for luggage assistance.
The location is excellent — quiet, yet close to everything, including the key Leonard Cohen sites. And don’t miss the Hydra sunset; it’s absolutely fantastic.
All in all, a wonderful place to stay. We would happily return.
