Stay was pleasant at Haijun but hotel is dated but clean. Stayed 5 nights at hotel, air condition was good but gets warm in the middle of the night. Laundry at L8 operates from 9am-9pm. Laundry detergent provided. Breakfast acceptable. Not all staff at reception are friendly. No fridge in the rooms, you will have to request and they will send one to your room. Shower is good, water is strong enough. Wardrobes in the room smells as they are old. Hotel is 8 mins walk to TianZi Pier which is end of Beijing Pedestrian Street. It is still a long walk (0.8km) to the actual touristy Beijing Pedestrian Street. Overall, stay at Haijun is pleasant

Staff were very nice but didnt speak english; rooms could be better but it was very comfortable and the cleaning lady was very nice trying to have everything clean.

First visit to Guangzhou, so Haijun Hotel was a perfect location for the novice tourist. Beijing Pedestrian St just a short walk as well as a nightly front seat view of the Pearl River cruisers. Modest hotel, slighly older, but staff were efficient, friendly and eager to please. Shower water pressure was excellent.
All communication challenges were easily solved with handy translator apps. Breakfast buffet was generous, although a little heavy on the fried oils side. Would easily stay here again. Far from a luxury hotel, the hotel has a dated feel, yet homely and comfortable at the same time.

An Absolute Nightmare – Avoid This Hotel at All Costs!
My recent stay at this establishment was so profoundly appalling that I consider it my duty to warn every single person considering it: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. From the moment I stepped through their doors until my desperate departure, this place was an unmitigated disaster, a true nightmare from start to finish.
Let's begin with the staff, who were not just rude, but astonishingly unprofessional and utterly devoid of any semblance of customer service. They behaved as if my very presence was an inconvenience, offering no help, no courtesy, and radiating an air of disdain. It's clear that the concept of "hospitality" is entirely alien to them.
Then there was the room – simply put, it was disgusting. Filthy, poorly maintained, and so impossibly cramped it felt less like a hotel room and more like a glorified, unkempt closet. The basic expectation of cleanliness, a fundamental standard for any accommodation, was spectacularly unmet here. It was a squalid, uncomfortable space that actively detracted from any possibility of rest.
To add insult to this already abysmal experience, a "free cruise" was supposedly included with the stay. However, the hotel staff demonstrated an utterly abysmal failure in communication, neglecting to inform me of this crucial perk in any timely or effective manner. Consequently, I ended up missing out on it entirely – a testament to their shocking disorganization and complete disregard for guest experience.
In summary, this hotel is a catastrophic failure on every conceivable level. It is plagued by an insolent staff, offers squalid and minuscule rooms, and operates with a level of disorganization that is frankly unacceptable. Save yourself the immense headache, the profound disappointment, and the wasted money. Book literally anywhere else. This place is to be avoided without exception.
