Perfect accomodation in Shela

We have stayed at Fatumas Tower to visit the village of Shela, which has amazed me and I recommend visiting it.
The house is comfortable, spacious and elegant so it is a very good choice for accommodation. Angelika, the owner is very nice and hospitable.
In addition to all this, I would like to highlight above all the kindness of all the staff, especially Khamisi and Amos, with whom we shared the most time during our stay. Amos' food is simply delicious.

A truly wonderful place to stay in Shela Village

We stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. Right at the back of the village, through all of the winding streets and past all of the donkeys and cats, you walk through the front gate of Fatuma’s Tower and feel immediately at peace. We stayed in the Garden Room, which was wonderfully luxurious and gave straight out onto the courtyard where we ate all of our meals. The breakfasts were the best we had in Kenya (just the thought of the fresh papaya and mango still makes me salivate) and the whole team could not be more delightful – and more focused on making sure your stay is perfect in every respect. Thank you Angelika, Martin, Khamisi, Justin and everybody else there. We can’t wait for our next trip!

Great Stay at Fatuma's Tower

My daughter and I had a great stay at Fatuma’s tower. The house and the garden are beautiful. Hidden at the far end of the village, it is a perfect place if you want to relax and take your time.
The food was excellent and very reasonable (much better than in the restaurants on the beach). The staff was extremely friendly and discreet. Angelika and her staff make you feel as you were at home.
We definitly recommend this place and hope that we can come back.

very nice place peacefull

the staff was very kind and give us what we wish. We was on the top floor, the room had a lot of windows, very great with a little wind, we appreciated and a large terrace with "hamac" very confortable. the village is really authentic with donkey and very nice people. The beach is 10 mn walk, it s an amazing beach

Paradise on earth.

I stayed at Fatuma's Tower over Christmas with a friend and it was an amazing experience. This was my second Christmas at Fatuma's Tower. The staff are kind and will fulfill your every wish. They went out of their way to get us avocados for breakfast although it wasn't the season. They book boats and restaurants, get you whatever food you would like to eat and organize to wash and press your laundry for a couple of dollars. The house, garden and courtyard are just beautiful. They did a fantastic job preserving the historic character of the building and I love all the details: the library, private balconies, etc. There is also a yoga room and a massage room. I wasn't so fond of the dinner there this time. There might be nicer and also icheaper places to eat. I feel like last year was better somehow. Overall, I love the place. I hope to come back again.
