Great stay at Garni Bacherhof

I stayed here for a week's skiing with my young adult children. We were a group of 4. We were made to feel amazingly welcome by the owners who were very kind. Service was excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean with a traditional pine feel to them. Ensuite bathrooms are modern, clean and very functional. Rooms are cleaned every day. The breakfast was great, with different cooked options every day, and for a nominal amount extra. we could take sandwiches for lunch with us. I was able to park my car in front of the building. The Nassereinbahn is 15 mins walk away and a few minutes on the bus. The bus stop is very close by. There are plenty of good evening restaurant options nearby, and I would book these before you arrive. We had an excellent week and I highly recommend this as a modern B&B.

Wonderful stay!

Wonderful stay, excellent service. Easy to get to the lifts and nice and clean rooms. Great breakfast too, will definetely go back.
The hosts was very friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile.
Transport to the lifts and the ”centrum” of St Anton was easy accesible with free busses.
Overall a great stay!

Good except for breakfast

The Garni Bauerhof Hotel is a 3 floor big house with no lift that is situated far from the Sankt Anton ski resort centre.
Just opposite, there is a farm stable with very strong smells.
Upon arrival, you must type a code at the front door to access the reception on the 1st floor.
The room and bathroom are clean and spacious & comfortable.
The main disappointment is the breakfast:
1st,- Breakfast is served too late (not before 8 am )
2nd- There is very little to eat and apart from 4 slices of low-range sweet chocolate cake, guests are only served salty foods
The value for money of Garni Bacherhof during low season & off-peak periods (we stayed on 31st May, when the Sankt Anton station is empty) is not very good,

Fantastic hotel with excellent....

...location, room standard and an absolutely outstanding breakfast. The host family is really service oriented and friendly. They make sure the place is kept spotlessly maintained and clean and that the guest get the most out of their stay. The reason the location is perfect is that it is much quieter during night comparing to staying on the noisy main Street and at the same time it is much more convenient to get to and from the slopes using the frequent bus (the bus stop is only a few steps from the house). During most of the winter you can ski back to the house in the afternoon either by the tobaggoning run or (if you are a more advanced skier) the Schöngraben off-piste route starting at the bottom of the Schöngraben t-bar lift. Do not take the higher route starting from the top of the lift via the Törli passage unless you are very sure about the conditions - this passage is a death trap whereas the lower route is normally safe.

Excellent mountain stay

We were travelling from Lake Constance to Berchtesgaden and wanted to take a day or two's walking in the Arlberg.
Bacherhof is a typical mountain "garni" and does the job nicely. A pleasant room, an excellent breakfast and a superb, peaceful location. Very friendly owner and personnel.
It is worth mentioning the Kur-Karte which you are given as a guest. Normally these cards give you something low value like a 50% discount on a car park; this one gives you a day's free travel on the local lifts - they are expensive, so the card is really worth having.
Anybody travelling from the west should be aware that they are going to travel through the Arlberg tunnel for which there is a 10 Euro toll, but there are no toll booths! You need to buy the pass on the internet!
