We really enjoyed the fact that the farm was located in a picturesque location with exceptional views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.
Augustine was a wonderful host, very friendly and always willing to satisfy our needs! We are still thinking of the delicious breakfast she offered us every morning, her kindness and smile. We hope to be back one day soon! Last but not least, Augustine was super friendly towards our small dog. Thank you for everything Augustine! :)

Holidays on the farm

In April 2025 we spent two weeks with the whole family on the farm Hinterkellau. It was an unforgettable time: majestic mountains, wonderful nature, good weather, cute cats and very friendly, nice and helpful hosts - Thomas and Augustine. The farm is located outside the town of Golling, in a cosy mountain valley. This is a quiet place where you feel at one with nature. If you want to take a break from the daily stress of the city, you should definitely visit this place. Fresh mountain air and magnificent views make your holiday special! I would like to thank the entire Lienbacher family for the wonderful time at this unique place! See you next time!

Peace and cows

The place is unique, breathtaking location ideal for those who want to be at peace in the countryside and animals. The rooms are clean, only four rooms, fresh and hearty breakfast. Agustine is very kind. Salzburg is 20 minutes by car to 40 by train. On arrival you are given a card that allows you to travel for free by train to Salzburg and offers discounts on local attractions. The place is surrounded by waterfalls, forests and other nature trails

A perfect hospitality experience

I only wish a 6-start ranking would be an option…
- Surrounded by beautiful secluded nature though located a 5-minute drive from Golling’s center
- Specious, well-equipped, and super clean apartment.
- A trampoline, playground, etc. and many farm animals. Great for kids!
- A kind and very helpful service.
Augustine, thank you for an exceptional experience on all levels!

Peaceful place, beautiful surroundings, superb hosts...

As with most of the previous reviewers, all I can do is praise every aspect of this guesthouse. There is nothing to dislike and Augustine is the icing on the cake! She is lovely, warm, kind, helpful, all the attributes in a host you could wish for, nothing was too much trouble. And for me, her perfect English meant was a big bonus.
I had a large, immaculate double room which had windows to two sides so the room was wonderfully bright, made even better with one of the windows facing up towards the end of the valley and mountains, an amazing view to awake to. The balcony gave equally stunning views. A previous reviewer mentioned the Wi-Fi being a little slow, which it was, but I suspect the location, being set so deep into a valley surrounded by mountains, limits any improvement to this.
The breakfasts were amazing, a lovely selection, lots of fresh food and wonderfully fresh eggs laid by their own hens. The location is for those who love peace, quiet and solitude and is wonderfully safe for children. The property is at the end of a valley so driving to get anywhere is pretty much essential, and did not represent an issue for me at all. If you wish to dine out in the evening for example, this should be borne in mind and planned accordingly.
I was a solo traveller, on my motorbike and parking undercover with farm vehicles was made available to me - not that there are any security issues at all but it had just started to rain as I arrived so this was appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to return and stay again, maybe next time to do some hiking in the amazing countryside. Thank you Augustine, for making my stay one of the most pleasurable on this tour yet.
