Lovingly designed and run hotel with excellent service

We love coming to Goldegg because it feels like coming home. However, one has no obligations beyond the selection of drinks and the main course. Pure relaxation and deceleration.

Very nice family-run hotel that responds perfectly to individual wishes. Flexible friendly staff, good kitchen , attractive breakfast.very good massages. Nice room, attractive little lake 100m away.THANK YOU for staying, we will gladly come back

A picturesque hotel in a beautiful village

We had a wonderful time in Goldegg, thanks to the friendly and helpful family that owns/runs this lovely hotel. They always had ideas and recommendations, and even made sure we were able to participate in the magical Goldegg Holy Night festival. The hotel has several cozy common spaces and a small bar for relaxing, reading, or socializing. The dining room is beautiful and well appointed, and the food was just perfect, with many local and organic options. The rooms are simple but perfectly appointed, and the small spa was very nice. In season there is a small ski area just up the hill that's perfect for beginners or small children, with rentals available. Several larger ski areas are also close by. We would absolutely go back!

A classic alpine retreat

Three generations of the Geisler family maintain a tradition of excellence at the Hotel zur Post. The rooms and food are excellent, but it is the staff and service which make the place special. New sauna rooms are the perfect relaxation after a day's walking or swimming in the nearby lake, which has a reserved area for the Hotel guests.

Lovely Restaurant, Great Service

We were just stopping by for lunch, but I can say that this visit was more than a success. One of the best meals we had in Austria during this 2 weeks stay in the country. Firstly when entering we were kindly greeted and shown to the restaurant. The food (Wienerschnitzel) was lovingly prepared, tasted great and was served promptly and friendly. Also in the sald buffet everything was fresh and great tasting. The restaurant area was immaculately clean and so were the restrooms. And the village of Goldegg was also worth a visit on its own. Loved everything- this restaurant can be highly recommended.
