What a gem of a hotel!

What a gem of a hotel! We chose the budget option—room 17 on the top floor—and were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and spacious, with two beds, a bathtub and a shower, and even two balconies!
On the ground floor, there are coffee machines, a selection of teas, cocoa, milk, and other options, along with a fridge and a lovely self-catering dining area.
The garden is large and beautiful, filled with a variety of plants—truly an oasis in the city centre! I felt genuinely rested after a full day of walking and would gladly come back if I ever visit Bad Ischl again.

Watch out! Rooms are not guaranteed despite reservation confirmation!!

Despite reservation confirmation we did not get a room! Receptionist only said: “There is so much going on, there is just no room left!”. Completely uncooperative and rude, both the employees and the boss. We then had to look for another hotel! This place is not recommended!!!

Excellent!

Perfect location near the train station in a beautiful garden, friendly and helpful owner!
Particularly beautiful flowers inside and out. Shared kitchen very positive -
absolutely recommended for spending lovely days in Bad Ischl!

Nice accommodation in the heart of Bad Ischl

A beautiful old house in a wonderful location surrounded by beautiful nature and just a few minutes' walk from the train station and town center; great value for money (especially for Bad Ischl); free private parking; large and attractively furnished rooms. Highly recommended!
It's just a bit spooky at night because everything stays open and the reception is not manned.
In general, I really liked Bad Ischl - I was extremely positively surprised because I was actually expecting a tourist-only backdrop town à la Hallstatt, but that wasn't the case at all. Unfortunately, we were only there for one night, but would have loved to stay a second! Also recommended: a trip to Kathrin with the cable car!

Clean and Great Location

Location is within 5mins walk from both train station and bus station. As Bad Ischl is a small town, it is also within walking distance to many cafes and shops. Accomodation is clean. Booked the budget twin room and we had our own bathroom and balcony. Towels are provided. Hotel is located on a low hill, hence dragging the luggage up can be quite tiring during check-in. Free tea, coffee and hot water is available in the shared kitchen located on the 1st level. Very happy with the accomodation!
