Home away from home

We spent a lovely week at this very sweet B&B in the historical center of center. The accommodations were clean and well-maintained, and the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. She was able to arrange airport transport at a crazy early hour for a very fair price, and regularly checked in on us.

Nice location but … a lot of mosquitoes inside the room!!

From the beginning, things didn't go well for us. When we arrived, there was no one at the reception. After calling a few times, they asked us for the room number, but there was no room number shown on the Booking page, and it took them quite a while to find our reservation. Despite the hotel amenities stating that parking was available (see pic), there was actually no parking. We had to park about a 12-15 minute walk away, since it was quite difficult to find a parking spot during the time we visited.
When we entered the room, we found there was a basement with looks like dirty (no door but steps blocked) and no soap in the bathroom dispenser or any dispensers in the shower. The bathroom walls also had quite a lot of moisture damage and peeling paint. You can really tell the place is lacking maintenance BUT the biggest problem was the mosquitoes.
Outside, there was a pond full of mosquitoes right outside of our private door. Inside the room despite killed many, they made it
impossible for us to sleep. We had to leave a lamp on to attract them, (see video /photo) and we even had to make a kind of tent with the bedsheets just to be able to sleep, because they were all around us and buzzing around our ears. It was honestly chaotic.
Every night we had to sleep with a lamp on, and there were mosquitoes every single night.
We asked for a different room but there was no availability. Obviously, we can't use the whirlpool bath. The situation only got somewhat better on the last of the three nights. There were still mosquitoes, though.
We killed countless of them during our stayed, and the hotel management did some cleaning, although it wasn't the best.
Unfortunately, they never managed to completely solve the problem and get rid of the mosquitoes and they even went as tar as suggesting that the problem might have been in our luggage.
They also lent us a couple of bikes that they normally rent out. They were also in need of some maintenance, but we appreciated the hotel let us use them. We got a price discount but it wasn't the point !

In the heart of Lecce, romantic and welcoming

Clean, cozy, romantic.
Positive experience in the heart of Lecce. Excellent value for money.
Good and varied breakfast. Great and comfortable bathroom. Definitely review the shower heads, poor bathroom accessories kit."We stayed in the room "Terra Rossa suite". Really a gem.

Comfortable location and always clean. The staff was attentive and welcoming. It is located in a convenient area of the historic center. Top breakfast with freshly baked croissants, pasticciotti , delicious jams and savoury products of your choice.

Unbeatable.

They've been lovely to us. The room was beautiful and very warm. It is very well located and are all the time aware of your needs.
We have ordered a taxi to go to the station and they have managed it themselves, being New Year's Day.
