Green and splendid relaxation.
A beautiful place immersed in relaxing and enveloping nature. Great warmth and kindness from those who welcomed us. The apartment was nice, and the breakfast was excellent and abundant.

Far from reality
We stayed here for 3 nights as a family with a child for the weekend. I'll start by saying that the location is very nice, but... it just doesn't work for us. The Booking images are misleading as they do not reflect reality. Non-existent horses, destroyed soccer fields with broken nets, the stream mentioned in the directions is absent, and the ping pong table is destroyed. The first night, the toilet flush had a broken float; the next morning I pointed it out, and they replied that they would take care of fixing it but that there were also bathrooms on the ground floor anyway. The next day it wasn't working again, so I pointed it out again, but I had to flush for 2 days with a pot. The room was dirty, and on Saturday the room was not made up for us, nor were the soaps replaced because they had a wedding. On Saturday night, we had to park at the far end of a steep, dark, unguarded parking lot because it was all occupied by wedding guests and there were no reserved spots for those already staying there. We had to take boiling hot showers and brush our teeth with hot water because they told us they have problems with the pipes. In our room on the first night, in the attic area, the light bulb for the only bedside lamp was even missing. The fan blades were covered in dust. The pool is cleaned with a net by the guests staying at the hotel, so it is full of dirt on the water's surface and dead insects. The umbrellas have insect nests inside them, and the pool shower is unusable because it is full of wasps. The problem is not that the property is dated, but the state of total neglect of the property and the guests, especially if it coincides with a reception. It's a shame because the place would really deserve it.

Beautiful location, but the rooms and service were very disappointing
I was a guest at the Castello di Cortevecchio for a wedding.
I must say that the location is truly beautiful: the exterior, the position, and the context definitely deserve a very high score. The catering, which I want to emphasize did not depend on the facility, was excellent as well. Breakfast was also good, with a more than satisfactory selection of pastries, beverages, and various offerings.
That said, unfortunately, regarding the rooms and service, the experience was very disappointing. The room we were assigned did not seem to have been cleaned in a long time, it had a strong musty smell, and we had to stay for over an hour hoping the air would improve. The bathroom was in terrible condition, to the point that we avoided taking a shower.
I also add that this was not an isolated case: for the event, more rooms had been booked by family and friends, and the opinion was unfortunately unanimous. The beauty of the location was not matched by proper care of the rooms or by a service that was up to par.
It's a shame because the place really has great potential, but for a structure of this type, cleanliness and attention to guests should be essential.

Review of the stay for a wedding.
I was invited to a wedding, and the accommodation was arranged directly by the establishment, which assigned us a room not inside the castle, but in the annex.
Unfortunately, the accommodation turned out to be terrible. Outside, there was an infestation of red mites/spiders, and both the loungers and the chairs were completely unusable because they were dirty.
To our great surprise, the door of the room did not open properly due to damage at the bottom. This allowed light and insects to enter. The smell of dampness was unbearable and immediately triggered an allergic reaction in me.
The room was extremely small, and the bathroom was almost unusable: the toilet was placed right next to the bidet, preventing movement, and in the shower, it was impossible to stand without the curtain sticking to the body. It was necessary to hold the showerhead in hand for the entire duration. The bed was very hard and small in size. Moreover, the window was stuck and could not be opened. The next day, I woke up with numerous bites on one leg. It should be noted that the breakfast they offered was also lacking.
We initially complained about the problems with the shower, especially since, as wedding guests, they expected us to get ready in a small, dark, and poorly ventilated room, with an outside temperature of 95°F, so at the very least, they should have addressed the showerhead issue. The staff attempted to fix it, but given the persistence of all the other issues, I requested the possibility of changing rooms.
I was told that there were no other rooms available and that the bridal suite, although free, could not be assigned, but I want to clarify that I never dared to request it! It was therefore evident that they had other available rooms; however, we were not even given the opportunity to make a change at that moment, not even for an additional fee. After considering leaving the establishment, I was finally offered the key to another room. In response to my request for confirmation that it was in adequate condition and at least equipped with a shower box, I was handed a different key with the invitation not to mention it to anyone, emphasizing that it had air conditioning.
This second room was also located in the annex, but it was in significantly better condition, both in terms of the bedroom and the bathroom. While remaining simple, it was adequate for a couple who needed to stay for two days and prepare for a wedding.
The situation was finally resolved regarding the room change; however, we still paid the full price of €80 per night, without any discount being acknowledged for the numerous inconveniences suffered.
I strongly advise against this establishment for both stays and event organization.

Fabulous but poorly managed structure
Unique and suggestive location with immense potential, but in my opinion badly managed.
During the booking process it was very difficult to get in touch with them: emails and calls were practically never answered. That said, we chose Cortevecchio to give our parents a relaxing weekend surrounded by nature, in a quiet environment outside the chaos of the city.
Too bad they didn't tell us that, just that night, there was an 18th birthday party with very loud disco music. Needless to say, it was impossible to sleep until two o'clock. If we'd been told, we'd definitely have chosen a quiet environment for real.
Playing with children on the soccer field is not possible, as the field awakens in poor and dangerous conditions.
Adult pool closed the day before (Friday, September 20) because we were told that there were not many people: and we, in 10, what are we? Holograms? It was perhaps enough to wait until Monday to close it.
In all rooms there are bugs everywhere, even dead. Ok that we are in the middle of nature and that's fine, but a little more attention in cleaning would not hurt.
The apartments are still spacious and functional, the breakfast good even if there were no savory proposals (there was only salami).
I hope this review can be an incentive for managers to take advantage of all the beauty and potential that this beautiful property possesses.
