A peaceful place to return to

Tranquilandia is a beautiful place to rest, unwind, and enjoy nature. The cottages are simple but comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The fresh-water pool is a wonderful addition to the experience—we loved splashing around in the water.
There is plenty of space to sit, read, and watch the many animals that frequent the area. One of the special pleasures was lying in bed at night and listening to the sounds of the animals in the trees surrounding the cottages. We also enjoyed the covered space where guests can practice yoga; yoga mats and pillows are provided.
One of the highlights of our stay at Tranquilandia was the absolutely top-notch food that Shahul prepared for us for breakfast and dinner. He is a fantastic cook! We felt very lucky to sit in his garden in the evenings and enjoy the delicious meals he had prepared for us.
I would happily visit Tranquilandia again on my next trip to Kerala to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature.

A Rare, Limitless Interface with Nature – An Absolute Must-Visit

Tranquilandia is a literal "home away from home," and that in itself is a rare thing to find in modern travel.This is one of the few places left in the country where you can truly discover what our upper limits are—or rather, just how limitless we can actually be when stripped of urban noise. The interface between man and nature here is real, raw, and completely uncompromised.What makes this raw wilderness manageable and deeply enriching is the host, Shahul. He acts as an intuitive guide and a regulator of sorts, masterfully keeping things balanced, organized, and grounded without ever disrupting the natural flow. Staying here and getting involved with this local community is nothing short of an opportunity of a lifetime.If you are looking for a standard commercial resort, go elsewhere. But if you want a profound, authentic connection with the earth and yourself, do not miss this place.

A little piece of heaven!
Absolute calm, soothing atmosphere and extremely warm welcome from Sandrine and Chahoul.
Delicious cuisine and full of flavors.
We leave with resources... and with the desire to come back!

Peaceful and rejuvenating nature and yoga retreat

I came to Tranquilandia with a group of 10 people in early March 2026. This place is quite suitable for a mini yoga retreat because the yoga room is very large and ventilated by its half partitions; calm is ensured in a green setting; the kitchen is succulent; meals are taken in the garden or on the patio; the natural pool allows to cool off; the bungalows are simple, well equipped and bring an exotic and local touch; our guests do everything to make the stay pleasant, including their 2 teenage daughters who bring the freshness of their youth.
Many hikes are possible. I also recommend the morning or evening yoga sessions of Sandrine, excellent yoga teacher.
It is really an address for a nature and serene stay to recharge.

Numerous hikes are possible. I also recommend the morning or evening yoga sessions with Sandrine, an excellent yoga teacher.
It's truly the perfect place for a peaceful and rejuvenating nature retreat.

Paradise really exists!?

A beautiful place in the heart of lush nature, with the sounds of vegetation and animals around. Bungalows around a natural water pool and the best meals we have had in India (yet there is competition!). Sandrine and Shahul are kind hosts and their home is a real haven. Don't miss out if you're in the area!
