Great location for Whale Shark base. Helpful staff. Basic room and amenities however thats all you need.

It's definitely a dump, rooms are not what they show with balcony, I did not stay but left straight away. They had nobody in the hotel, I could choose any room. They all were not good ! Hot as hell, no balcony as shower on the room choose! I definitely would not recommend this place !

It was good, the beach is in front of your room, I got very impressive sunrise moment.

Basic, clean, uphill 10 mins walk from whale sharks

The hotel is ideal just for a night or two when seeing the whale sharks. It’s basic, as reflected in the price. The rooms were clean, had aircon, shared bathroom with a hot shower. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Only 10 min walk to whale sharks
Only issues were that there were mosquitoes in mine & my friends rooms and we both got bitten a lot in the night. Also wifi does not work in the rooms, you have to go on the landing for it to work and then it’s intermittent. Also could do with having extra pillows as just had one thin one. It’s an uphill walk from the whale sharks so you need some level of fitness. But you need a certain level of fitness to even be able to do the whale shark swim anyway

Old and basic. My first time booking a room with shared toilet.

We wanted a cheap place to sleep and not far from the place to view whalesharks so we booked this place. Cost us 1,300 Peso. I booked with my phone, forgot to click and extra click to see the details so didn't see the "shared bathroom". Normally I never book shared bathroom accommodation. The aircon worked well but wifi didn't work at night. Room has a table and 2 plastic chairs, 2 bottles of drinking water. I think they put other guests on the other floor as each time we used the bathroom, we didn't see anyone and felt like only 2 of us were on this floor. Bathroom has hot shower, old and basic with a shower curtain.
The owner is great that she gave us every information we needed when we checked in. If she smiled a bit more, that would be perfect.
The shared living area has nice wooden sofa and boiler, cups, dishes, bowls, spoons, dish washing liquid so it is nice that we can boil water for instant coffee. There's a large balcony where guests can sit and smoke which is nice.
We walked downhill to eat at night. 200 Peso was enough for 2 to be full.
