Pinecone Lodge and Restaurant....Top class.

I spent two nights at this cosy guesthouse in December of last year,2025...It was just beautiful...Kabayan is a small village and Pinecone Lodge and Restaurant is located at the end.I had a lovely room with shared bathroom which had plenty of hot water...The staff were top class.I want to mention Jertrude,Husta and Pucay (a.k.a.Jeremy)....Jertrude the owner and manager, was especially helpful.This lovely lady organised a vehicle and driver to take me to Sagada,the next place on my itinerary and also organised a fabulous guide to take me on a trek to the caves in the hills on my second day to view the mummified bodies....This guide- his name is Ryan Baldino-was top class.I learned so much from him and he was friendly,helpful and very professional...The food served at the lodge was excellent and I had breakfast and dinner there each day...Superb food at very reasonable prices....I am happy to give Pine cone Lodge top marks...10 out of 10.

Amazing place, warm people

This place was our last stop before heading out from the mountains and was purely intended for making Mt. Pulag hike. The landlady was very nice and as we arrived quite late, at around 5pm, she made a few calls and helped us to arrange a guide for the next morning. Beside that they have done our laundry for a bargain and have a nice restaurant downstairs. Very nice place to stay, clean, nice views and really amazing and helpful people. Would definitely stay again!

we were the very first couple to stay there when they were still builing it we loved the place

to bad it been closed down i guess not enoughf people staying there were wondering why we were just wanting to make a reservation and go back again as we have relatives in kabayan beautifull place thou maybe we can rent our one room again smile smile.2013 or 2014 we stayed there.

Potential...but needs more care and attention

Great spot, only real option in town it seems, loved the riverside room, cozy, comfortable bed...that said, old things like mattresses and pillows are piled in corners collecting dust, dark, resident dog pee left on floor right inside doorway all morning long, damp odors, terrace has breaking plastic chairs ...just in need of some love and care and light and deep cleaning!!

Loved it!

We arrived at Pinecone Lodge after communicating with Kevin (who was extremely friendly and helpful, answered every one of our questions accurately, gave us tonnes of advice before we even booked the place, even met us in Baguio bus station to help us get to Kayaban!)
We originally intended on staying for 2 nights and ended up staying for 5! We absolutely fell in love with the lodge, the owners (Etud and Chad), the dogs (especially Banter) and the local community in general.
The place is spotless, very chilled and homely. They organised guides for us for treks, packed lunches for our camping trips, and transport when we sadly had to leave.
We have been travelling now for 5 months across a few counties in Southeast Asia and I can hand on heart say that you will not be disappointed by the accommodation or service here. Outstanding place, amazing people!
