Was an amazing experience lovely resort so peaceful and we even got the experience to a sea plane.

It was the worst experience I've ever had
To get in and out of the resort only in the Buggy of the Resort, and we had to schedule to pick us up at McDonald's in Vanilla Beach.
I marked for 18:00 and we were only picked up at 18:30.
How astonished am I when I encounter the worst access to the Resort, those 15 mts in paths full of holes, mud, beaten land, rises and descents, something pretty discouraging to start with...
There is no other way to get out and in the resort, just by buggy, and we always have to worry about booking, between 07:00 and 17:00 is free, but then there is a cost of 350 pesos... Which I find absurd, given that the hotel has this restriction on access to the resort.
They gave us the Bungalow D, the rotten wc window, no light, no sockets at the desk desk, old furniture, the sanitary water did not leak, the technician was 2 times on the 1st night, we complained, and gave us to choose 2 different rooms, one that smelled very bad mold, and the other had a giant spider, which the maid didn't even get to the job of killing... They did not want to change us to a room with more conditions with the excuse that they did not have availability, and still told us that if we were not satisfied we could go to another hotel and try to ask for the refund at booking.
In the morning the sanitary was not leaking again, and only then did we upgrade to a superior bungalow C16.
There are no tables, no headlamps or lights near the bed, no kettle or phone in the rooms, whenever we need to talk to the reception, we have to go to the lobby...
The people who live here make a lot of noise during the night and early in the morning, and this bungalow is on the back of the road where the buggy passes...
You pay a room so you can sleep and rest and then you sleep badly.
These bungalows have openings on the sides in the wood, enters clarity and can enter animals and mosquitoes..
I had to improvise and put towels to cover the bigger holes...
The autoclimate also didn't work 100%, and several times I had to fill the trash bucket with water to put in the toilet... Something pretty primitive and ridiculous for the price you pay...
I didn't have hot water for the shower, just cold water...
The bed is not comfortable, one day I woke up with a very intense pain in the lumbar area...
The breakfast is weak and basic, only the pancakes were good, the food in contact with many flies, something unhygienic...
The food is not good, and the paper menus are disgusting...
The hotel needs maintenance, things are broken, the lounge is broken, tiles next to the pool are broken, the area next to the beach is completely destroyed from the sea...
There are many coconut trees and the ripe coconut from time to time fall, even we are afraid to carry a coconut on the head...
My friend got a food poisoning, became very sick with vomiting and diarrhea, and we only ate at the Resort, on the second day she was still very sick and was in bed, I went on a tour, and asked to take toast and tea to the room at 10:00 and around 14:00, but communication failed, and they didn't take anything for her to eat, when everyone knew she was sick...
Some customers left that day and before the time, because they did not like the Resort and told me to take a bath in their bungalow, which was paid, I walked back and forth to be able to take a bath with hot water...
I ordered toast several times for my friend, and the bread always came white, even when I asked for more toast...
On my last day I scheduled the buggy for 17:00 to catch me at Vanilla Beach, but meanwhile the Tour was late and I called to ask for 17:30, they only came to pick me up at 18:00, I lost 30 minutes waiting...
They were helpful in providing medication, and the last day the driver had to go to town, and suggested he could pass through the pharmacy to bring medication.
Maria was very helpful and dear in this miserable experience at Dolarog!
I cried on the 1st day and felt sad, and very sorry to have stayed at this Resort, it is not something you should feel on a holiday...
Two days after we left the resort we went to the emergencies in Coron with a urinary tract infection, we do not know if it was because the sanitary not leaked completely and got with yellow water...
It was by far the most expensive and weak resort/hotel, has neither the quality nor the comfort, for what you pay!

Amazing week at Dolarog
I can’t rave enough about my week here at Dolarog. 2026 has brought many changes, new management is busy upgrading and renovating. The resort is well looked after and maintained.
The chef is 5 star (new to Dolarog in 2026) - every meal I had was delicious. The staff are attentive and I can tell they are invested in the resort and ensuring guests are well looked after. Maria and Anna looked after me in the restaurant and Charles and Rio at guest services. All were kind and helpful when I needed anything.
The resort offers island hopping tours and there are kayaks and snorkel gear and a decent little gym to get some vacation training in!
This place is out of the way, what if offers is the ability to sit on the veranda of your cottage and listen to the forest behind you and the ocean waves in front of you while you look out over the towering Pingabuytan island.
The advantage is the quiet and natural surroundings but also that it isn’t complicated to get to town to explore.
I have never seen sunsets like this!

Best bungalow ever
Best ever bungalow in front of the sea.. and we travel a lot… simple, well decorated and ideally situated. Facing sunset. There are newer bungalow with leather seats but we prefer the charm of our old one. Friendly staff. Excursion operator come to got you from pier. Note that only access is sea.. so transfer from airport is a vehicle to port then speed boat.

Very quiet, exceptional view, very welcoming and very kind staff, decent food, deluxe beach front room decent, value for money, decent.
Flats: very complicated access by scooter, dirt road in the mountains.
