We had a problem with the TV and Ruth and her father solved it quickly. Clean, spacious, cozy, very familiar. 100% recommended. I would definitely come back again if I pass through Trujillo again!!!

Yesterday afternoon we entered this hostel and killed two huge cockroaches, we told the owner and he told us that they had recently fumigated and they were coming out through the bathroom drains, that the only thing they could do was give us a spray to kill cockroaches and to cover them up. all the drains with the plugs and that's what we did, we even covered the overflows with paper. We went all afternoon to visit Trujillo and have dinner and when we returned when we opened the bathroom door there were cockroaches again, we decided to leave the hotel at 11: 30 at night, we told the owner, who was actually very kind but he had no excuse to give us, he offered us another room but he couldn't assure us that there were no cockroaches, so we left the hostel and went on an adventure to look for Another, luckily it is not high season in Trujillo and we found a room right opposite, at the Victoria hotel, highly recommended, old but very nice, clean and great treatment.

One night stay. We loved this place because of how friendly they were. . It is not expensive, nor should it be. We had a basic room with two beds and a bath. A pleasant view out the window. The room was a second floor walk up but staff kindly helped with luggage. Staff was exceptional. The restaurant downstairs was well attended by locals at breakfast mid day and dinner. They were all very friendly and we really enjoyed the non-touristy family feel The food was exceptional with exceptionally friendly service. It was a six minute walk to Plaza Mayor. Most tourists probably stay there or close by but we liked the neighborhood feel of where we stayed. Although we ate downstairs there were other restaurants nearby as well. We were there the night of a Semana Santa parade. Parking would have been difficult then, though maybe not at other times. So we paid 10 Euros for a very convenient locked garage about five doors away from the hotel.

Cute hostel located in the beginning of Trujillo

I think that the location of the hostel is of five star quality because you can park just outside. You can't park close by many of the other hotels and hostels in this cute medieval village.

The service is also impeccable. The heating (so necessary in the freezing month of February in Extremadura!) in our first room didn't work, so we were given another, better room where the heating worked.

There are no official front desk/reception, but the staff (that were also bar/waiter staff for the restaurant) were effective in helping us checking in and out.

The shower could be improved by a shower curtain and a shower mat. Rather impossible to take a shower without getting water everywhere and it creates a super slippery surface. Also, you could hear EVERYTHING from the activities of the other guests. Bring earplugs!

Nothing here is of one star quality.

Uncomfortable beds, paper thin walls led to two very poor nights sleep. Could hear everyone in the hotel talking or walking around. It was however, in a good location to explore the old city.
