The perfect countryside getaway!

My husband and I stayed at Casa do Zuleiro for 3 nights for a wedding in Galicia, and it was absolute perfection! First, the owners are so kind and welcoming. Despite a bit of a language barrier (I should have stuck with Duolingo), they made us feel right at home. They offered to make us dinner and also suggested nearby restaurants. The location in Galicia is quite convenient, though you absolutely need to rent a car to stay here. Casa do Zuleiro isn't necessary in a town, but rather it's located among a small cluster of homes. It's about 15 minutes from Noia and 30 min from Santiago de Compostela...close enough where you still feel connected but far enough removed where you feel you're out in the country. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the beautiful property. It's cozy, peaceful, and extremely charming. It's authentically old-world, yet it's obvious that it's well maintained. Also, our room was quite large and had everything we needed. We loved sleeping with the windows open and waking to the distance sound of a rooster. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the Spanish countryside, this is your place!

Lovely country house in quiet location, friendly hosts. Tasty Spanish breakfast. The room has very comfortable bed, excellent jacuzzi, snacks and mini bar. Would love to visit again.

Lovely place and perfect magnificent HOSTS

You hardly find places like this: the silence, the peace, the beauty of the place (the Casa do Zuleiro is a perfect example of recovery of something ancient, where the comfort of the modern does not disturb or mortify the outline). The comfort of a perfect room in every detail (cleanliness, comfort of the bed, quality of the sheets, coffee and sweets to welcome you back, the hot tub), the internal garden a small jewel where a delicious and varied breakfast welcomes you when you wake up but above all a beautiful welcome from the owners, always present and ready to solve every small or big problem without ever being intrusive. Speaking with Mrs. Lucila is always a pleasure (spontaneous friendliness is difficult to find in a host) as pleasant are the stories of her husband about the places and the history that surrounds them. Also the place despite being away from the noise and chaos is really close to everything. in ten minutes you get to the seaside resorts to visit absolutely in less than half an hour you are in Santiago. What about I hope to return again to taste the delicious cakes, quince and delicious cheeses of breakfast, and to chat with you again. It 'was a really nice experience to repeat absolutely. Thanks again for everything.

This circa 1700’s village was both interesting and beautiful. The staff was very caring and communicative. Parking was great once you can find it. The walls are a bit thin so noise travels but guests were respectful and that was the only downside. The bed was xcelle t and a FAN was provided in room. Nearby restaurants were excellent and the towns on the coast were really fun to visit. Truly a highlight of our trip.

Relaxing and romantic

We spent a wonderful and romantic night in the junior suite. The jacuzzi was ready when we arrived, the breakfast was fantastic and we could bring our dog with us. Everything was clean and perfect and the service was kind and very thoughtful.
