This hotel boasts a great location overlooking the seafront promenade, at the heart of the city of Gijón, in the northern region of Asturias. Hotel Alcomar is decorated in an elegant and classic-continental style.

Bridge with friends
We've been a group of seven friends, three nights. Hotel with nice old decoration but charming in common areas, Very clean. Comfortable rooms with splendid views of San Lorenzo beach. It's worth paying a little more for them. We did not take the accommodation with breakfast, but the hotel has its cafeteria with variety of breakfast products and very reasonably priced. Probably one of the best located hotels in Gijón, close to everything: Cimadevilla, port, Plaza Mayor, cider shops and restaurants...
Friendly staff at reception and a special mention for the cafeteria waiter: super efficient, very friendly, friendly...a tenner for him.
We'll be back.

Seaside good location, spacious rooms but rude staff
A well known place for locals, it’s not distinguished for their “greeting” staff. As if they were making a favor, they are rude and unwilling to give any info but your room number and the cafeteria schedule. They have this sign hanging on every wall asking to keep it silent for other guests rest accordingly but they are the first, at barely 8:00 to start opening/closing doors, vacuuming and so forth.

We will definitely be back.
A very positive experience. We were a group of fourteen people and stayed for three nights. Splendid location, extremely clean, super attentive staff, and spacious rooms with great views. Breakfast, although not a buffet, allows you to order almost anything and the service is very fast. A hotel to return to and enjoy Gijón. Thank you

Great location
Our first stop driving round Spain and Portugal. Nice hotel, quite dated but in an elegant way. Breakfast, in their attached cafe, was excellent - all freshly cooked to order.
As mentioned by others, there is no parking at all, and finding the underground parking, and paying top price for it, was a bit of a nightmere.
Sadly our room was at the back and overlooked - nothing much at all.

Dear guest: Thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in Gijón and for dedicating a little of your time to sharing your experience. Regarding the issue of parking, being located in the heart of the city it does not have its own parking but we have a public one very close and if they buy a voucher or reserve the space through their app, it is cheaper.Referring to your comment , we inform you that when making the reservation, the guest can reserve a room with a view or an interior room. In your case, you reserved an interior room that was assigned. Thank you for your positive review and highlighting our excellent location.
