Welcoming and beautiful

Beautifully situated house with several rooms in a quiet area. Unfortunately we were the only guests and there was some confusion due to our late (2 hours in advance) booking. However, we were warmly welcomed by three sweet dogs and the father of the manager. Other than that it all looked very nice. Nice room and bathroom. Plenty of room to sit and a cozy atmosphere. Nice fresh breakfast.

Homely homestay with gourmet cuisine

The remoteness of the homestead, in a wooded area，is both a disadvantage because of its remote location and a strength for a true getaway. A large garden with a small swimming pool are the setting for this all stone two storey building.
Rooms upstairs feature wooden flooring and rustic wooden furniture, basic but comfortable with attached bathroom. It's quiet and peaceful, some might say boring.
Food is a surprise, with gourmet cuisine. We had a fine dining 3 course meal that would set you back quite a bit in the city, complete with background music. Breakfast was simple but stylish with crisp toasted bread, homemade cheese and excellent coffee. The dining experience contrasts with the rustic setting.
Run by a friendly chatty father son team, the homestead is more than it seems.

Dogs barking all night long

This location required a 45+ taxi ride from the Camino de Santiago - major bummer and makes for a very late start on the next day. The dinner was very nice cooked by a local cook. The breakfast was nothing special - cereal and bread. The bed was tiny - way too short for a 6+ height man and completely narrow. Sleeping was exceptionally uncomfortable and local dogs barked non-stop the entire night. Neither of us slept and it made for a very rough walking day the day after. They do not speak much English.
This was booked by caninoways.com and we booked and paid for high end accommodations.

Utterly charming

Great overnight stay in a wonderful place. We were picked up and greeted by the owner and his three delightful dogs. A brief rest in a nice room - he only has two. Then a delicious outdoor meal. Rodrigo the chef comes down and chats. A wonderful place with delicious food. The next day a lovely pilgrim breakfast then a quick trip back to the Camino. Highly recommended
