Fantastic holiday!
Requested a first floor sea view room and that is what we got - perfectly positioned and quiet area (except being near the delivery entrance there was some early morning noise from the many trolleys being pushed over the rough tile surface that occasionally woke us).
The apartments are amazing, very spacious and a separate bedroom meant a perfect option for children to sleep while adults still have use of the rest of the apartment and balcony - plus dining table, fully equipped kitchenette (one electric hob, great fridge/ freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster, full range of crockery, cutlery, pans etc). Beds extremely comfortable. Large LG TV has loads of channels including BBC/ITV/Channel4 etc. Room air con was brilliant and much needed in a week where temps hovered around 30 degrees still at night. Outside was like a furnace but the two air con units worked very well in living area and bedroom. Had to ring reception once for a small lizard on the bedroom ceiling and they quickly sent someone (at midnight) to remove and release back outside! Very light and airy apartment. Pull out bed under sofa was made up (though we didn't use). Bathroom a bit dated, no window/ working extractor and taps/ shower a bit old but all fully functional.
Sadly there was no chance of a late check out as the hotel was full (understandable in peak season), despite all the signage in the room advertising this. The courtesy room/ space had no air con and was sweltering and not very comfortable to get ready/ changed for pickup due to how hot it was in it - but great that this facility is still available (clean showers/ toilets/free towels/ boiling luggage room/ there is also a space in this area to do your own laundry).
The staff are all very nice. From the entertainment staff (special shout out to Ruben who made the activities extra fun with humour for the kids) and to Nuria in the main restaurant by the pool who worked so hard and with a smile snd greeting (and she found our 'all inc' cups that we accidentally left on our table one morning).
Pools all great, liked that they were deep enough to be able to properly swim (all warm too), and had shallow ends and children's pools in all three pool areas. The splash park pool was amazing for kids, such a good facility (although the paint rubbed off onto my daughter's costume). Lifeguard at each pool. Usual 8.30am rush to get a sunbed at main pool - but if you were there for them being unlocked you always got a bed.
Bars work well for all inclusive with the cups/ tokens - never a long queue. Variety of food in both restaurants was great. We preferred the main restaurant by the pool (it served breakfast, lunch and dinner) but still used the one by reception (it served breakfast, snacks all day 11am-6pm, then dinner until 9.30pm - which was great having the later option). The restaurant by reception is a bit chilly after sitting in a while. Drinks (juices, fizzy pop, beer and white/rose/ red wine) are self serve in both restaurants - all tasted nice. All inclusive ice pops were free from the main bar, while different flavoured ice cream in tubs were available in the snack bar 11am-6pm (but you need to sit in the snack bar to have/ be dressed as it's in the restaurant). The snacks available all day were good - just a slightly smaller scale of the dinner/ lunch but plenty variety: chips, fish, meat, cold meats, cheeses, salads, nachos, desserts etc - you can never go hungry.
Day time and evening entertainment was good. Activities every hour from 10.20am until 4.20pm with a break at lunch. My daughter loved taking part - whether a pool activity (water walk, volleyball, water polo, aqua fit) or in the entertianment stage area. Certificates presented every night for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Kids mini disco 8pm every night which included the hotels mascots 'Globy' - mainly singing/ dancing for smaller kids. Then a fun bingo (2 euros per strip of numbers) and then the main entertainment act at 9.30pm. The seating area for the entertainment wasn't quite large enough for size of hotel (over 400 rooms) - we usually managed to get a seat but had to really search sometimes. Karaoke was great fun on a Sunday night. We had just missed the Michael Jackson 'Smooth Criminal' show when we arrived (think it may be on every other Thurs at the hotel) - so we watched the same show instead at Jimmy Hills (where the full MJ show is on every Wed) - highly recommend for MJ fans - unbelievable show!
Waterpark was included with our stay. Ask reception to print off the weekly paper pass. We went three times for parts of the day and had an amazing time - the pool here was quieter than hotel pool, plenty sunbeds (though busy for finding one too - but can put towel on grassed areas), lots of child friendly slides and 4 main big slides (snacks here not included as part of Binimar all inc). The waterpark is an easy ten min walk from the Binimar.
There are supermarkets on doorstep of hotel (nearest is immediately to left when come out of reception), but the hotel minimarket/souvenirs has just about everything you'd ever need at reasonable prices - great shop and friendly staff! Ideal for all inflatables for pool etc.
There is a bus (number 61) that runs half hourly to Ciutadella (the old Menorca capital) - we didn't visit but wish we had after reading reviews of harbour, rustic streets and cathedral.
The beach coves next to hotel are excellent for swimming/ snorkeling in. The one right next to hotel (Cala Piques) is a very short but quite difficult walk to (not signposted after leaving hotel which path to actually take down.. but once on the beach you can find easier way back...). There is a beach bar and sunbeds/ parasols for hire here. Recommend pool shoes as stony getting in and out sea. Cala en Forcat is another 10 min walk and has more swimming opportunities and an unbelievable amount of fish - definitely recommend here for snorkeling (two small sandy coves and lots of rocky ledges/ walkways to put towels down on).
The only let down for us was kids club (age 4-12, couple hours in morning and afternoon). My daughter was so excited to try it but maybe we just hit it unlucky as there was only 5 kids there, no planned activities (lots of options to colour in, play with lego, the ladies running it seemed friendly) - but my daughter was very bored and ended up just lying on the floor watching an ipad in French and she couldn't wait to be picked up! She said the ladies sat on their phones alot - so we never returned.
The kids park was lovely, though we didn't use much, it had climbing frames and slides and was on nice sand (no swings).
The hotel grounds were extremely well kept, beautiful flowers and the one storey buildings all well maintained and felt like a little village. A hotel photographer offers mini shoots.
Would recommend a stay here. It is a fantastic 3 star hotel and we had an excellent time (felt safe as a solo parent travelling too).

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your week away and for sharing such a thoughtful account of your stay. We are delighted to know that the apartment layout, comfort, and amenities supported a relaxing visit and that our team provided prompt and courteous assistance.
It is wonderful to hear that the pools, entertainment program, and all-inclusive offerings added to your enjoyment. We are also pleased that the nearby facilities and local attractions enhanced your holiday experience.
We regret that certain aspects did not meet expectations, particularly the early morning noise, the courtesy room comfort, and your daughter’s experience at the kids’ club. We appreciate your perspective, as it helps us remain aligned with the high standards and welcoming environment we strive to provide for every guest.
Thank you as well for recognizing our team members’ friendly service. Your recommendation means a great deal to us.
We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay.

Geeat
Several pools to choose from and a splash park on site which was great.
The water park was also included which was great fun just a 10minute walk away.
Several small beach’s in walking distance with great snorkelling spots.
The food was fantastic lots of choice for everyone.
The only Negative is the queuing for sun loungers early doors but with kids we were up early anyway so that wasn’t a problem. The water park had ample lounges so never any problem there.
The harbour is a 15 minute taxi ride if you fancied taking a boat trip.
Would recommend for families not for couples seeking a quiet holiday …..

You will have a really lovely week, once you get over the general grubbiness of the hotel
Overall I’d say the hotel is nice. It’s a large hotel with only two floors spread across a big area. The outside areas and gardens are kept beautifully.
There are 3 pools which are fine but a bit grubby. It’s a family discussion how English pools are so gross but foreign pools are kept nice…. Well, i’d compare this to an English pool! Getting a hair wrapped round your fingers every two seconds, the same plaster stuck to the floor all week, a massive clump of hair that just stayed wrapped around the steps for days. I didn’t see anybody cleaning the area down all holiday which you do normally see at a big hotel. The floor is quite dirty and where puddles form by the steps there is green algae between the grout and floating around. As everybody has mentioned, sun beds are a real issue. In fact, I’m not convinced it’s even the sun beds, it’s the shade!! I really feel like if they had more parasols or shaded bits then it wouldn’t be such a bun fight, but people want to sit under the umbrellas or shaded areas and that’s the issue. The umbrellas that are there are big, concreted in ones that don’t move or go up and down. The first day we arrived at the pool at around midday and got two beds at the ‘quiet’ pool, but they were in the blazing sun with zero shade and with a toddler that’s no good. The main pool and splash pool lock the beds up until 8.30 ish, at which time there is an actual fight for beds. The third pool, which we tended to favour, is gated and they don’t open until 10. Although a queue starts forming at around 9.30, it’s far less frantic. The pool itself gets very busy and overwhelming, but we did go in school holidays. It’s also a really warm pool, I’m not sure if it is heated or just the warm weather but it’s like a bath. This has its pros and cons, my toddler was in there for hours and hours without getting cold, but in reality it was a bit too warm and you never really cool down or get any relief from the sun.
What I actually felt overall was that this is a large hotel with lots of rooms, and the social areas are really quite small. Around the pool, the bar and the entertainment area, all lack space for a hotel this size. Yes it was probably full capacity when we were there but they should be able to cater for this if they offer the rooms. Bottom line is there should be more sun beds and more parasols, just because you go in school holidays shouldn’t mean you have to fight for a basic facility. They also need more space and tables in the entertainment area, if you arrive after the kids disco starts you’re unlikely to get seated. As a hotel, if you’re going to fill every room then you need to provide facilities for that many people.
The drink token system is fine once you get used to it. I cannot see how it’s greener and feel that it’s more to stop the need for staff having to clear down tables as you’re obliged to take your cups back. Unfortunately because they don’t do this, the tables in the bar area rarely get wiped down and that is probably the reason there are lots of flies around. The bar staff are quick and efficient and even if there is a queue you get your drinks quickly. Most of them are nice and friendly apart from the older guy who is a grump! AI drinks were fine, there’s a handful of cocktails included and good selection of soft drinks. One thing let it down, the only ice creams available through the day for AI were ice pops which were a bit naff.
Food is good, if somebody can’t find something they can eat then they must be super fussy. Freshly made pizzas every day, always a kids section with basic beige foods. Good selection of breads (although these were often a bit hard and stale). The main restaurant by the pool bar felt a lot like a school canteen, but could always get seated ok. The second restaurant downstairs from reception is much nicer for dinner time. It’s calmer, food is nicely presented and it’s just a bit more civilised. It is also freezing cold though, so take a cardy! The downstairs restaurant has a chocolate fountain most nights which the other one doesn’t have.
Rooms are basic but fine. Could do with a really good deep clean, you can see the dirt in the corners, the bathroom was grubby and there were quite a few stray hairs on arrival. Impossible to sit on the balcony with the huge air con vent pumping out boiling hot air at you which is a shame, so we didn’t really use our balcony. Also a strong smell of drains comes and goes in the rooms.
The beach isn’t far but it’s a steep old walk down some rickety wooden steps or a rocky slope. Not suitable for a pushchair at all and I didn’t trust my 3 year old to walk down them safely so we never ventured down which was a shame. My mum did and said it was stoney and seaweed-y! We heard people talking about nice beaches and coves not too far out but we never explored.
Entertainment team are great with the kids. We only really used the kids disco due to my daughter only being 3, but they work so hard to get them all dancing and involved. You see them about all day long doing this and that. There is a gap of an hour between the kids disco ending and the entertainment starting, where they give out a few certificates from the daytime and do bingo, but for young kids this is just boring and therefore we rarely made it to see the entertainment because toddler just got bored and tired.
Check out process was good. There is a big luggage room with showers, toilets, clean towels and an air conditioned area with sofas etc. it’s right at the back of the hotel but the transfer buses pick up from there which means you don’t have to lug your bags back through the complex. It works really well.
Overall this hotel was fine. Once you get over the general grubbiness you will have a lovely time. If you’re looking to book and you can get it for a good price then go for it. But in reality, would I come back, probably not…. Did we have a nice time, yes a really lovely week! I would maybe compare this to a Spanish Butlins…. Basic, hectic, everywhere needs a deep clean, but good fun for the kids and there’s always something to do

Thank you very much for taking the time to share such an extensive and detailed review of your stay at Globales Binimar.
We are particularly pleased to know that, despite the observations you have made, you and your family enjoyed a wonderful week and that your daughter was able to enjoy our swimming pools, activities and, especially, our Entertainment Team. We also appreciate your positive comments regarding the check-in and check-out process, our food offering, the service provided by our Restaurant and Bar teams, and the convenience of our luggage storage facilities on departure.
Nevertheless, we must admit that some of your comments regarding the general cleanliness of the resort are somewhat surprising to us. Cleanliness and maintenance are daily priorities at our property, and we have dedicated teams specifically responsible for these tasks. Our swimming pools, communal areas, gardens and apartments all follow established cleaning and maintenance procedures. Of course, any specific issue reported during a guest’s stay can be reviewed and addressed by our teams, and we are sorry that certain aspects did not meet your expectations.
Regarding the swimming pools, we take note of your comments concerning cleanliness and the presence of occasional hair or other minor residue. However, we believe it is important to distinguish between an occasional incident in a heavily used facility and a general lack of cleanliness. Our swimming pools undergo daily cleaning and maintenance, together with the corresponding water quality checks.
With regard to the sunbeds and shaded areas, we fully understand your concern, particularly when travelling with a young child. During periods of maximum occupancy, demand for sunbeds is naturally very high and, for this reason, opening times and procedures are in place to prevent them from being reserved during closing hours. We are nevertheless aware that the behaviour of some guests can lead to unsatisfactory situations, and we continue working to encourage fair and responsible use of the sunbeds. We will also take your comments regarding the availability of shaded areas into consideration.
Regarding our reusable cup system, we would like to clarify that this initiative forms part of our sustainability policy and aims to significantly reduce the consumption of single-use cups. Cups are provided through a token system precisely to ensure their proper rotation, reuse and availability. We understand that the system may require some adjustment initially, but it is a measure that reflects our environmental commitment and is not simply an operational decision for the benefit of our staff.
We also appreciate your comments about our restaurants and are pleased to know that you found sufficient variety for the whole family. We have different dining areas precisely to offer alternatives and to better distribute guest numbers during periods of high occupancy.
Naturally, we have also taken note of your observations regarding the apartments, particularly concerning cleanliness in certain areas and the positioning of the air-conditioning unit in relation to the balcony. These comments will be forwarded to the relevant departments for review and follow-up.
We are especially pleased with your positive comments about our Entertainment Team. Our colleagues work every day to provide activities for both children and adults and, as you yourself experienced, their involvement with younger guests is a fundamental part of the experience we aim to offer families. We are sorry that the interval between the mini disco and the evening show was not particularly suitable for your daughter, although activities such as bingo and the presentation of certificates for the daytime activities take place during this period.
Finally, we sincerely appreciate that, despite all your observations, your overall conclusion is that you enjoyed a truly lovely week. We respect the fact that Globales Binimar may not be the property you would choose for a future stay, but we hope that the positive aspects you have highlighted in your own review will also help future guests to form a balanced view of what we offer.
Thank you once again for sharing your comments, and we wish you, your mother and your daughter all the very best.
Kind regards,
Raimon Parera
