BEAUTIFUL PLACE & FRIENDLY STAFF
The loveliest experience with friends here. Perfectly situated in Cala Longa. The guy in charge is superrrrr nice and let our friend stay when she had a nightmare with her hotel. Great bar next door too! Clean pool, very quiet. Just beware of the insects biting.

Awful experience
Avoid if you can… awful service from the reception. Extremely rude and unprofessional and will try and mess you over to get more money off you if they can. There were bugs in the room on arrival and the bathroom had a really strong drainage smell. Worst stay we’ve ever had in Ibiza.

DO NOT STAY AT CANA SOFIA unless you want to risk your health and your children’s safety.
We booked these apartments because they looked nice and were in the location we wanted. Big mistake. We had to leave Ibiza after 1 night here because of this hotel’s shocking handling of the situation. We were meant to have a 7 night stay in Ibiza as our family holiday.
Within hours of arriving, two family members suffered nosebleeds from the heat inside the apartment. The temperature had to be at least 40°C — even with both the ceiling fan and pedestal fan running. Our eyes were burning from the heat. My toddler was awake all night saying “too hot,” my 6-month-old baby was visibly in distress, and the adults couldn’t sleep either.
At 12:40 a.m., I sent a WhatsApp message to the hotel explaining the dangerous situation. We had only arrived hours before, but their response was essentially: “You booked it, your fault — we don’t have AC.”
I then spent hours on the phone with Booking.com, who repeatedly asked the hotel to allow free cancellation or at least charge us only for the one night we stayed. The hotel declined every single request.
We checked out the next morning, less than 24 hours after checking in. Because they refused to refund us, we had to leave Ibiza entirely and return home, devastating our four children. We travel the world, and this has been the worst customer service experience we have ever had.
They told us they would refund any nights they could resell, but that didn’t help in the moment when we needed to secure safe accommodation. I later saw on Booking.com that all the nights had sold, yet they only offered to refund €1,017 out of our €3,053 booking days later. We then tried to accept the refund and they refused to actually give it so we received NO REFUND. On WhatsApp, they claimed nobody else complained but the receptionist admitted they had been in this situation before. Other reviews also mention extreme heat.
It was too hot for adults, let alone children — and we’ve lived in tropical countries, often without AC, and it has never been this unbearably hot indoors.
Other safety concerns:
• Balcony railing flexes and feels unstable
• Steep stairs to the first floor
• Pool is deep throughout unsuitable for children who can’t swim without aids
If a place is willing to ignore the safety of babies and toddlers, what else might they overlook?

Good option
We have stayed 4 nights
Apartments with everything you need to have a good stay
It could be improved if they left some little things like more toilet paper, scrubber to wash the dishes, etc... you have to buy everything
Good location if you have a car
There is no parking
Nice pool although it was still closed in S Santa

Excellent holiday
As previous reviews say, the staff are brilliant.
This is a nice clean place in a brilliant location with plenty of bars and restaurants on the door step.
The only drawback for us was the noise from the bar which went on until 2am. The bar is right next to the pool so there is no escaping the noise.
I would recommend the Thai food in Amigo’s pub directly opposite the apartments and Frankies for a full breakfast.
This is a nice clean place in a brilliant location with plenty of bars and restaurants on the door step.
