Cerro Lobo is a guesthouse located in the north coast of Santa Elena province, 18 km from Montañita and 7 km from South Ayampe. It offers an outdoor pool with excellent view of the Pacific Ocean.

Place with privileged views
The room with a jacuzzi is very comfortable, the breakfasts are not so varied, they should be improved.

Unsatisfactory experience at the Cerro Lobo Hotel
From the beginning, I faced inconveniences that negatively impacted my perception of the hotel. Upon receiving my room, I found that the bathroom was locked, which led me to wait over 30 minutes while the staff tried to open the door. When the hotel owner finally showed up, his attitude wasn't exactly welcoming. When explaining that he was a foreigner and that he was here on vacation, his response was that he is Argentine, as if that could justify or compensate for the situation.
The next morning, when I went to the breakfast area, I found it to be packed. We were told to sit in a new area, and despite waiting for 20 minutes, no one came to serve us. I was the one who finally found it necessary to ask about the service, since it seemed that we had been completely forgotten.
The disappointment reached its climax at check-out. It was raining, so I asked for help with the suitcases to move them to the car, since it was on the first floor and I had to go down some stairs that were a little unstable and with the rain an accident could happen, to my surprise they told me no. There was no one at the time who could help, their response was completely indifferent, reflecting a lack of interest in providing a positive experience.
In short, my experience at Hotel Cerro Lobo was not at all satisfactory and, frankly, it was one of the worst I have ever had. Despite the aesthetic appeal of the place, the attitude of the staff and the quality of service left much to be desired. My recommendation is that if you are considering the Hotel Cerro Lobo for your stay, reconsider your options and look for alternatives that can provide a much more pleasant and welcoming experience.

Excellent
Our bungalow had a private terrace, a great view and a small kitchen. More a private studio than a bedroom.
The staff is extremely helpful. Live fire was lit in the chimney in the evening on demand.
Nice conversation with the owner as well.
