Hotel

Very warm and clean hotel!!! The apartments are very nice and with a beautiful view. The service is also very good and the people are kind!! The hotel breakfast is very good! We had a great time!

First holiday in bansko

We were on a budget for this holiday and this is a great location 10 minutes walk to gondola and all main restaurants it’s quiet and great view of the mountains all around. It is very basic but it’s clean and the cleaners come by every day the mattresses (I always check) looked new . It has almost all you need maybe not if you were to cook every night. The tv only has local channels but we didn’t use this so it’s not an issue . There is rarely anyone around but we called the number when we had no hot water and it was sorted straight away . If I could suggest anything it would be a mattress protector and fitted sheet as the flat sheet moved and I often woke on the bare mattress , maybe an extra pillow too . The people we did meet a guy who greeted us was lovely and helpful and kind . Not sure there is a spa like the pictures suggested we didn’t find one but we didn’t ask either .

Truly terribile, extremely disappointed

- Our room telephone was out of order, when we mentioned this issue to the reception, their reply was a 'nothing I can do about it' type of face...
- We had a large double bed booked, and confirmed... But we were given two separate beds, with two separate bed sheets, with two separate bed quilts
- Upon asking for the Spa's terms, we were told to book it one hour in advance so that within that one hour everything would be ready. That same morning, approximately half an hour later after our inquiry, we went to book the Spa but were told that it will be ready by 5pm... When we went downstairs, we came across a constant repetitive scary sound, it was only a few seconds that we noticed it was coming from the electrical fuse box as it was shooting spark lights along with those mini-explosive sounds... The only reply we got from the receptionist was 'a smile' and 'we know about it'... Jacuzzi was in the booking description, but it was not available and from what we gathered was that the Jacuzzi had been out of order for a long time. No massages, despite being promoted on the description, and also printed on their wall
- tv... Only four channels available, and not clear, every channel had a red 'Product' stamp written over it. Not a cable TV.
- bath tub, wobbling and unsafe tile structure with cracks. Scratched ourselves several times, once even with a deep bloody scratch wound.
- the kitchenette lacks serious utensils.
- over priced fire wood, especially since its on a one-time use.
- balcony frame, wobbly and had no strong support, was afraid to go near the edge.
- Rooms, garbage, were never cleaned.
- pillows too thin nearly 2cm thick, we were given one each...and kindly asked if we could have some extra due to my neck, and my partner simply was not feeling comfortable with that thin pillow..the receptionist seemed to refuse at first, but then she limited to only an extra two, out of supply.... Although I can't understand that, since 95% of the rooms were vacant and could have easily obtained them from these vacant rooms.... Oh and by the way, with the extra pillows, we were given two pillow cases which we have not used as on one of them there was a yellow large sized spot and on the other; a black smudge, we just tossed them aside as we really gave up on trying to have things decently fixed..upon our last day, the receptionist presented us with a towel and a pillow case claiming that we have ruined them and have to pay 20 BLG Levas.....(with 20 levas, anyone can buy a whole full set of bed sheets, towels, and a quilt!!! - this was clearly a rip off).

Visit

The Winslow Elegance is an Apartment type Hotel, very quiet, about One thousand meters Fromm the Sky lift, the WiFi does not stretch to the apartments we could only get a signal in the area of reception , our visit was at the end of the Summer Season, so Bansko was very quite a lot of the hotels and restaurants had closed down or getting ready for the Winter Season.

Nice big apartments.

This is an aparthotel. Beautiful,clean, large apartments with bedroom,separate wardrobe room,sitting room with kithenette and a spacious clean bathroom with bathtub. Uery warm and bright.with huge windows allowing the day light in. Huge space for 2 persons. Excellent value for money.
On the downside, no wifi in the apartment. Only in the reception. No breakfast. A Very rude young lady in the reception. And she speaks no english.
If you dont need internet connection,i totally recommend winslow apartments. Inexpensive, spacious, warm and new.
