A Disgrace to the Accor Brand – Avoid at All Costs

I have stayed in budget hotels globally and I understand that "budget" does not mean "luxury." However, what I experienced at this property was not just basic; it was physically revolting and professionally insulting.
The reception staff were utterly useless and openly rude, showing zero inclination to help. The state of the room, however, was the true low point:
• Filth: The apartment was disgusting, the windows were caked in grime, and the pillows were visibly soiled.
• Dilapidation: The bathroom was a health hazard—a gaping hole in the ceiling, a foul odor, and a toilet seat in such poor condition it shouldn't be in use. The door didn't even have a handle.
• Broken Amenities: Even basic items like the remote control were broken.
I booked this stay based on the trust I had in the Accor name. If "Budget" has become a synonym for "squalor" and "disrespect," then Accor should remove the Ibis name from this property immediately. It is an absolute embarrassment to your loyal customers. I will never return.I’m

Disabled car park is staff parking apparently

Since when is disabled parking considered staff parking? There is one disabled spot and we had booked disabled room. A Car was parked in the only disabled spot without permit. Went to reception and was told ‘oh that’s my car cos its considered staff parking.’ Disabled room had a weird bunk bed set up. We were told breakfast was included in our price, then told we had to pay $13 for breakfast the next day. The day receptionist was very much someone who didn’t want to be there. No smiles or ‘hows everything’ just a weird stare whenever he saw us. Night guy was great. Very friendly, smiled each time he saw us. Overall it is a budget hotel, the bed was comfortable enough, the shower was hot. For me it was mainly staff attitude and responses.

Didn't expect to much as budget accommodation. Car parking was good, mattress had a topper on it that was comfortable.
Bathroom had mould and no shower curtain or similar so whole bathroom gets wet when showering.
Had black hairs all over the floor which was gross.
Paid for breakfast as front desk said it started at 6.30 when it actually didn't start until 7 which didn't suit my requirements.
Room windows are double glazed but all the noise from the street comes straight in through the air con.
Room key system was replaced during my stay but no notification was left on the door to inform of this. I had to enquire at reception if there had been a change.
Had someone bang on all the doors in my hallway at 4.30am which was not ideal. I reported this to reception who looked into what room the person was in on the cameras.
I paid for budget and that's what I got.

Cheapest around by a mile. There's always a small chance of a broken lock, toilet door that won't close etc. Wifi isn't great. But if your on a budget, you can't look past Ibis Fawkner!
