Great budget stay in good central location

My husband and I travel around a lot and housesit and between housesits we usually stay at a budget hotel or motel in the area. We found a great deal using a third party booking site for the Lakeview Motor Inn staying 7 nights and we were really happy with our stay, there were no issues whatsoever. The staff are so lovely and very accommodating and we got a free upgrade to a larger room which was much appreciated! The owners live on site which for us is a great safety feature and means that someone is available if needed at all times.
It’s an older style motor inn and perhaps a little dated but for the nightly tariff it had absolutely everything we needed; the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, the shower was hot with good pressure and the bed was comfortable, what more would we need? Rooms in a motor inn are also preferable to us over a standard hotel room as they normally have kitchenettes with a fridge and microwave which we prefer.
This motor inn is located on a busy main road right across from the lake but we didn’t feel that the road noise was bothersome at all and the views of the lake at sunset are beautiful. If we were in the area again and needed somewhere to stay we’d happily return to the Lakeview Motor Inn!

Customer service needs some work.

Clean venue without being impressive. Basic facilities typical of a motor inn. Tv in my room did not work on Channels like SBS on Demand and Stan. Reported but it was never fixed, and one of the staff members quite rude. I asked for a compensating refund to cover the absence of a tv service, but he refused. Offered to move me to another room but that would have meant packing up my gear, and at 10pm i just didnt feel like it. Meant I missed seeing world cup match. I will not stay there again..

Reception took a long time to answer our requests. Office not open when advertised. Mould on curtains. Bedding clean. Checking out was not easy. Was charged for an extra person when I booked in as 2 adults and 4 children.
Would not recommend, as was not cheap.

When your away sleep is key, terrible single pillow. No extra in cupboard. road noise very bad. would take much to sound proof end wall. we will not stay again

Tired needs a paint and makeover room comfortable but had too much furniture in it and bathroom needed maintenance shower tap fell off in my hand and for a non snaking room smelt of smoke
