This place was gorgeous, beautifully maintained superior staff, Boardwalk restaurant looking over the river patio.. brought my dog and was able to get a first floor walk out.

Beautiful

Great Location that has a beautiful patio! The food here was absolutely amazing! Service was excellent. Employees really seemed to enjoy there job and make the guest feel at home.

This place was fabulous! We had the best time. Comfy rooms and clean. The balcony was amazing. We lounged at the pool and hot tub and it was great. Staff were so nice and extra helpful. Had a blast. Would definitely come back again.

Booked the room in advance for a balcony view of the river (or so I thought) only to get there to find out it was a ground floor patio not balcony. I was told that when I booked, it said patio/balcony. I didn't see anywhere to specify. There were no vacant balcony rooms. Parking is horrible. Narrow spots and only a few otherwise you have to park on the main street or across the street. They have serious ANT problems. We sat outside on the patio and there were soo many ants that kept crawling on us. This was suppose to be a special birthday surprise trip. I rate it a 2 out of 10 only because of the view. I won't be back.

Not a friendly hotel for those with disabilities

This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. I am handicap and unfortunately when the reservation was done by my employer that was not mentioned. When I checked in, I found I was on the 3rd floor (really the second based on where the front desk is), but there is no elevator for this part of the hotel. Once I realized what was going on, I returned to the front desk to discuss. I was told that unfortunately they had no other rooms open that evening, but could look to move me the next day. (I was told be there for three nights). I understood and was okay waiting due to the miscommunication.
I returned to the front desk the next day and the manager, Chris, knew nothing about the need to change rooms. He informed me that if and when one was available they might be able to move me, but that was a big if. Mind you folks from my work group still needed to check in, I came in a day early. I later found out that they had rooms on the second floor, no elevator needed, and would have gladly been moved to the third floor.
My handicap is with my right foot and I am not to walk a lot or do stairs due to a WorkComp injury. This was crazy that there was really no care at the hotel and “if” doesn’t work in this situation. The hotel location was great, but due to lack of care I can never recommend this hotel though I will return to the area for work.

I understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive and find that your room location did not comfortably accommodate your mobility needs. After learning of your concerns, our team looked into available alternatives; however, due to high occupancy during your stay, our options were limited.
While we were able to explore other room possibilities, I recognize that we were unable to provide a solution that worked for you, and I am sorry for that. I am also disappointed to hear that the communication surrounding your request left you feeling that we were not taking your concerns seriously.
Guest comfort is important to us, and experiences like yours remind us how important it is to communicate clearly and thoroughly when challenges arise.
I do appreciate your positive comments regarding our location along the St. Clair River. While I am glad you enjoyed that aspect of your visit, I regret that your room experience overshadowed the rest of your stay.
