The headboard was very noisy with little for a pillow behind. 😁I think maybe you should the check out to 12 o’clock seen as with the force of the shower. We both spent 1 hour at least rinsing the soap from our hair. And I’m bald. Other than that it was fantastic 👌

Not good

Despite the location and decor downstairs the room 16 a single room was truly awful and I decided to drive 3 hours home rather than stay in it. The photograph of the room when I booked was misleading - it was a photograph of a beautifully decorated room. The actual room on the second floor of the hotel looked as if it had’t seen fresh paint for 40 years. It was tiny dark and depressing and the bed had no duvet or cover sheet.
What was upsetting is being mislead by the photograph, told I wouldn’t be charged and then finding my card had been charged.
£95 gets you a great room elsewhere on a Thursday night - be warned!

This is an old hotel so not able to have modern tech included (i.e air conditioning) However, if you like old style property and decor + the noise of a fan in your room, then this hotel is for you.
It certainly worked for my needs for a 1 night stay.
only thing to consider is some clear signage for the travel arriving late at night as you had to go through a restaurant to get to the check-in desk - that wasn't clear

The Hotel was not Very Good it was Very Bad some one left a terrible mark on the mattress and it Didn’t look very nice so I came Back Home the next morning and the food was to much money for what it was not worth anything

I can only give 5 stars for the Glendale,,, it’s very quaint and a very unique hotel and so interesting with its design and decorative features and architecture, it really is a beautiful place to stay and in a beautiful location .
The staff every single one of them are just amazing,, so helpful and caring people who work very hard at the Glendale but will always give you their time and help.
I found it to be a very beautiful place to stay all round so yes i definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Cardiff and Penarth with its lovely beaches and i could just go on and on but go and see for yourselves because i can be choosy but i had a feeling about the Glendale when I first spotted the advert as it just isn’t some bland & boring place and Tony ( the owner) he works so hard yet is so welcoming and i could easily imagine him as a friend i would trust because i know people and i can spot a fake in a nano second but Tony I knew from the moment i fiirst met him ,, at midnight because it’s almost 5 hrs and combined with the motorway shutting down due to an accident i arrived alone at midnight and it was so quiet and i banged on the door thinking “ im not going to get in “ when suddenly Tony just appeared behind me in his Italian accent welcomed me and said “ your safe now so come and get in we were worried you hadn’t arrived “ and I knew then n there what a decent man he was because I spot a fake,, i think he lives nearby and maybe heard me, great man
