Very nice property, would recommend, just be aware of a couple of quirks

We liked this hotel located at Clifton Square.
The location is amazing, you look out onto the Square, and from our room, you could also see the sea.
We had a roomy room and that was indeed very roomy. Three of the six ceiling lights were not working, and I did report this the following day as a maintenance item. This apart we liked the facility and we especially liked the yellow branding in the room, which is part of the Mode hotels branding.
The staff were very attentive on the phone and I'd particularly like to call out Paige for her attempts to get us what we wanted in the breakfast bag, although ultimately this was unsuccessful.
So overall, we would definitely recommend the property however, be aware of a couple of quirks.
The first is that this is in fact a satellite of the Mode hotel in St Anne’s and therefore when we arrived after 6 PM, it wasn’t staffed. Access is via a lockbox. This is fine, but just be prepared for it.
Access to the property is via a very steep set of stairs and the property does advertise that there isn’t a lift.
Breakfast is a rather stranger affair – a bag containing things that they think you would hopefully want for breakfast arrives outside your door at 7:30. We did attempt to establish what these items would be, but it seems to be a standard fare of an apple, a brunch bar, a croissant, and yoghurt and orange juice accompanied by some wooden cutlery.
Slight concern about this is obviously there is waste on items that you don’t want.
One other thing to know is that parking is a bit hit and miss. We were able to park on the street having arrived late at night and could keep the car there until 10 AM the following morning. The hotel advises parking in the public car park on Beach Road. But this is a good 10 minute walk from the property and it is obviously an open public car park. Be aware that if you have heavy luggage to take that way. And then you still have that flight of stairs to negotiate.
But this may be being a bit picky. Overall, we definitely liked the property and would definitely recommend staying there again.

Great place, in a perfect location. Room had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and lovely and quiet. We will return.

Stayed in " snug " room which was much bigger than I expected with a frosted window so no actual view outside( though this wasnt a problem) good location.good communication .we had no problems with self checkin etc. Room & bathroom were good. Only thing missing was perhaps a small fridge .

Very happy with our stay perfect location

The location of the hotel is in the heart of lytham room was very clean. Good value for money we will definitely be staying again.

Brilliant

What a jewel in the heart of Lytham..There’s absolutely nothing to like. The customer service is outstanding, Lovely room, nice bed and bedding, great shower, fluffy towels and gowns, Coffee machine, water and even a breakfast bag at 7:30am. Brilliant
