Great location, good value
Nice and cozy.
The room is small but super clean.
Everything is in 5 minutes walking distance.
Staff is friendly, and you can have breakfast in the cafe downstairs.
Parking is limited but totally worth it.

Very unprofessional – not recommended
Disappointing experience – confusing communication and unclear agreements
On arrival we were surprised by extra charges that we had not been informed about in advance, which was not a pleasant start. Later we asked if there was any availability for a second night – this was not a confirmation or reservation. We received no further communication, confirmation or booking information from the owner. Since we heard nothing more, we assumed the room was already booked and arranged another stay (which we also have proof of).
To our surprise, the next day we received a message stating that a verbal agreement had been made and that we still had to pay – when this had never been clearly agreed. Since we were staying in an unfamiliar environment, we wanted to be sure of lodging and decided to make an official booking elsewhere.
When we explained the situation and showed our evidence, we received a response that we felt was inappropriate and disappointing. We believe that communication about bookings should be clear, written and professional. We've reviewed Booking.com's policies and don't recognize our experience in the way it's supposed to be there.
If you are looking for a carefree stay with clear agreements and friendly communication, we would unfortunately not recommend this accommodation.

In the heart of Tihany.
Basically, it was okay with some annoying errors. The first problem is that no board informed me that this is the Csöpi Pension. I just found it because my cellphone insisted that I arrived. When I asked why they aren't labeled, they said they are just preparing the sign. As I saw from previous reviews, they were open already in 2018 as well.
Another problem was the missing wifi. I indeed forgot to check it before I booked this accommodation, but it is so evident nowadays that I have not thought of not having wifi in a relatively new pension. Luckily for my other criterion, the ensuite was all right. As another reviewer mentioned, the room was tiny, but since I was alone in it, for me, it was just fine. The whole guest house is immaculate and also has parking and breakfast on demand. The bathroom was excellent, the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked perfectly, and there was a big flat-screen TV, and unlike my habits, I watched a few movies in the absence of the Internet. My thin walls, fortunately, don't bother me, because if I'm sleepy, I will fall asleep. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Good location
It's a new good place with a new furniture.
The location was very good in the heart of the city close to every thing.
The AC wasn't working and could not use it.
A hairdryer was missing.
The room was so small hardly could move in it. The walls are so thin that the neighbor breathing could be counted.
The owner where friendly and good.
If it's you first time over there you will not be able to find the place unless you call the owner to direct you.( there is no sign of the place).
Pozitívum:
A Tihanyi Apátság közvetlen közelében van a panzió, ami nagyon szerencsés, hiszen innen minden látnivaló és étterem könnyen megközelíthető. Külön díj ellenében(3000/nap) használható a 4 kocsi férőhelyes udvar.
A szobák tiszták és új modern berendezésűek.
Negatívum:
Aki először jár Tihanyban, annak nem könnyű megtalálnia, nincs tábla.
Hajszáritó nincs, klímát nem lehetett használni, az ágy 2 fő részére kicsi, és a szoba is zavaróan szűk. A falak pedig papír vékonyak! A szomszéd légzését is lehet hallani.
Az ablakon nincs szúnyogháló és az ajtók a legkissebb huzatra is rezzen.

Wir haben noch nie so viel Geld für so wenig bezahlt. 100 € für eine Nacht in einem winzigen Zimmer - OHNE Frühstück PLUS 10 € Parken extra!!!!

Das Zimmer, dass maximal für eine Person geeignet gewesen wäre (Bett ca 1,20 breit), war nur ca 4,5 qm groß - Sitzgelegenheit nur für eine Person, die zweite Person muss auf dem Bett oder dem (kleinen übrigen) Boden sitzen.
Das Bad ist immerhin soweit sichtbar sauber - allerdings mussten wir Haare von den Handtüchern entfernen.
Die Schallisolierung ist genau Null - man hört
alle Gespräche/Autos/Motorräder - und davon gibt es an der belebten Hauptstrasse, an der diese "Unterkunft" liegt, SEHR viele sowie alle Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmers.
Ausserdem ist NIEMAND da - und die Haustür steht immer sperrangelweit offen. Und da die dünne Zimmertür mit wenig Aufwand aufzubrechen ist, mussten wir alles von Wert immer mitschleppen.
Wenn ich weniger als einen Punkt geben könnte: Ich würde es für diese unverschämt überteure und keinerlei Gegenwert liefernde Unterkunft tun!
