The gym was amazing- had all the equipment I could ever want. The kids play area and movie room was a nice bonus. The room was very clean and the decor was modern.

Our room on the 4th floor was very good. Nice size, very quiet. The toilet/shower room was a bit shabby but not a problem. It was kept clean by staff.
Breakfast had a good variety of foods, staff were helpful. We stay here several times a year and it is in a very convenient location.

We slept in a family room for four. There were two separates beds and an couch.
Couch was bit small, so two big mens would do a bit tight.
The room was large and clean. Everything else was good too, we enjoyed the stay.

beware of extra costs

The location was quite good, Helsinki city center easily reachable by train or tram. Scandic hotel policy of charging extra for everything is something I strongly disagree with. While other hotels usually have check-in between 14:00 and 15:00 and if the room is ready earlier, they let you have it, at Scandic the check-in is at 16:00 and even if the room is ready, they will not give it to you unless you pay extra. In many 3- and 4- star hotels water boilers/kettles are available in the room for those who wish to prepare a cup of tea in the afternoon or prefer not to have a full breakfast. At Scandic Pasila you had to pay extra if you wanted to use their water boilers. When you start adding up the extra costs, you may find a better deal at some other hotel.

Not recommended, expensive and poor.

Trangt, warm room. Little old bathroom. The air conditioning was not efficient at all. Very high price compared to other hotels in Helsinki. Also overpriced in relation to quality and service. Very simple breakfast. Cold bacon, lack of fruit etc. cannot be recommended.
