Pleasant, Peaceful and Homely

Our family of 6 adults and 3 children spent a very enjoyable stay at Nil Vimana Villa. Comfortable rooms with adequate toilet facilities with hot and cold water. Spacious living area for the adults to relax and the children to play. The owner personally attended to all our needs and the kitchen staff was ever obliging. Location being just a little out of town gave the Villa a very peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle while having easy access to the town as well as the other attractions.
Very well recommended for a family taking the whole Villa.

Terrible for families

An extremely poor experience. Water pressure was so poor that the flow was almost a trickle. This was sorted on the 3rd day, although it was only marginally better. We never had hot water on any day with the caretaker (obviously under instructions) switching on the water heater only when asked to; however, this would never get us the hot water as there was insufficient time to heat the water. Also, he would switch off the heating as soon as someone came out of the bathroom, so this cycle was repeated for every member of the family. The mattresses were absolutely filthy and full of stains. Electricity kept going off several times a day, and although we cannot blame the owner for this, you still expect that a generator was in place since paying guests of Airbnb expect all amenities they are paying for. Due to this problem, the fridge was of no use. Also, only one set of plates was microwave safe while the house was dusty and musty. No tea or coffee making facilities were available. Rooms are cramped as well. The outdoors were excellent, but unfortunately we could not live outside. The caretaker was not much help either, besides also being inside the house when we were in. This amounts to snooping; besides the CCTV terminal is placed in the living room. Please think thrice before booking here.

Great Place to Stay

This is a nice villa located slightly top of the hill. The view from this villa is amazing. Our crowd was about 8 adults and 6 kids, and there was enough room for everyone including kids playing in the garden. The weather was cooling, so there was no need of fan/aircondition and rooms were supplied with mosquito nets. Wifi isnt the best, but hey, when you are at places like this, we should be experiencing the nature than spending time on our phones. Just down the hill, there are few shops selling day to day stuff. And most of the tourism places like Ravana Water Falls, Nine Arch Bridge, Demodara Bridge are all within driving distance. Highly recommend this villa to anyone esp large families.

Great place to stay

Clean rooms, friendly staff and a very helpful owner. Definitely recommended!
There's little bad to say about the place - we had some problems with the Wi-Fi, but other than that everything was perfect.

Excellent

Stayed two nights and enjoyed well. Fantastic hospitality by the staff. We have enjoyed the food very much and those were very delicious. Very friendly staff. Rates also very reasonable. Can recommended for every one.
