Top staff on site

First class hotel with even better staff. This is precisely the one who deserves this recognition in the form of this assessment. Great breakfast and good location complete the stay.

Pure disappointment!

I can't understand all the positive reviews. We stayed 4 days in the Windhoek. Breakfast I expect for Sylt a little more upscale. It was normal standard and nothing out of the ordinary. Every normal hotel has a sparkling wine or prosecco for breakfast. Nix! The lady from Service was overwhelmed with the few guests. You should order eggs when you get a table, in case you don't have to wait, because otherwise you only get your eggs when you are done with breakfast. The rooms are nothing special either. We had Suite 25 and mold in the shower and very stained walls. The beds were very hard, the guys who do the room cleaning are already asking in the morning if the room needs to be made?!? If you arrive by car, you should book a parking space in advance, otherwise you walk at least 300m.
For the price there are far better hotels on Sylt.

Disastrous - How not to deal with guests

Unfortunately, this year we were not able to travel at all. 1 week (!) before our arrival the room was simply cancelled by phone. Written cancellation came only on request (!). Alleged water level in the room - which we doubt, as this could have been repaired in 7 days without any problems.
The biggest thing: No accommodation, no written apology.
We had booked flights and car hire! A lapidary "room is cancelled" is not enough. No voucher, no alternative offer, nothing.
We've never seen anything like this. You obviously don't need it on Sylt.
Customer is not a king, but a court jester here.

To feel good

You feel at home in the hotel from the very first moment. A very friendly, great team. The breakfast is wonderful, varied and delicious.
Beautifully furnished suite and good beds.
We would love to come back.

Great hotel with a lady's soul

Had a surprise trip to Sylt and neither of us were there before. Sylt ist really a great place to enjoy nature (scenery, changing weather and biking). What made our stay majestic was Melanie the soul of the hotel. Melanie she helped us getting into the Sylt groove by facilitating our stay enormously (suggestions, restaurants, bikes, aperitives and last but not least discussions). Thank you for the great experience!!!!
