Waldorf Astoria Berlin sijaitsee kohteessa Länsi-Berliinin keskusta ostosalueella ja lähellä lentokenttää. Asiakkaat voivat käyttää huoneissa olevia jääkaappi ja espressokoneet. Kylpyhuoneista löytyy suihkun ja kylpyammeen yhdistelmä, sadesuihkupää, kylpytakit, tohvelit ja designer-hygieniatuotteet. Asiakkaat voivat surffata verkossa käyttämällä huonehintaan sisältyvää langatonta internetyhteyttä. Liiketoimintaa tukeviin palveluihin kuuluvat työpöydät, työtuolit ja puhelin. Lisäksi huoneissa on tallelokerot ja ilmainen sanomalehti. Siivous päivittäin ja allergiatestatut vuodevaatteet on saatavilla pyynnöstä. Käytössäsi on sisäuima-allas ja poreallas. Muihin vapaa-ajan palveluihin kuuluvat sauna ja ympäri vuorokauden auki oleva kuntokeskus. Seuraavat aktiviteetit ovat saatavilla joko paikan päällä tai sen lähistöllä, ja ne saattavat olla maksullisia.

Nice view, but not worth the money
Firstly, another guest was shouting and breaking crockery and glasses and it took the staff a long time to remove them from the room. This totally took away from the refined and relaxed ambience of the experience.
Secondly, the menu was not as advertised, and was “brand new” that day. It was very heavily truffled and nothing else could be tasted. I have a seafood & shellfish allergy which had been advised on booking, but instead of substituting items we just got less. The sweets were marginally better, but nothing special. The unlimited Pommery champagne on the advertised menu was not available. And the substitute was not unlimited.
Finally, the service was not as expected from a luxury hotel. It took nearly 40 minutes for the first tea (which was cold) and food to be delivered to the table. We had to ask for water, and we had to keep flagging down the staff to refill the teapot with hot tea. Considering the cost per person we expected so much more from the Waldorf Astoria. The view was lovely, but the food and the service was not worth the cost.

Gladly again
The corner suite was spacious, super clean, and very quiet, however, we had our suite on the 6th. floor and thus one side with a view of the spa terrace. Therefore, we wanted to keep the curtains closed the whole time.
The rooftop bar is also very nice, but unfortunately, there was trash behind the seating areas. But here again, the perfect service.
Breakfast had everything you need, but I have had more selection (tea, juicer, various hams) at other hotels in Berlin with fewer stars.
We would have also liked to be informed in advance that the lobby is closed due to fire safety measures.
We thank the team at the Waldorf Astoria.
