Horrible - To flee
The day before my arrival, my reservation was cancelled outright under false pretense – a so-called lack of prepayment – when nothing in the booking conditions made on the hotel website required it.
Worse still, my attempts to get an explanation were ignored. No answer to my email, and on the phone, after keeping me waiting and promising a call back (which never came), no one deigned to answer.
Nightmare follow-up: the disastrous reception of the hotel.
After this ubuesque cancellation the day before my arrival, I still tried my luck by coming directly to the establishment, hoping for an error or misunderstanding. Weary, disillusionment was total:
1/ No reception: arrived on site after unsuccessful attempts to reach them by phone, the staff coldly confirmed the cancellation of my reservation, always under this false pretext of non-payment. When I pointed out that their own system required no prepayment, no reaction, no regret - just appalling indifference.
2/ Unacceptable solution: I was then offered, as a favor, a double room with shared bathroom (even though I had booked a single room with private bathroom). When I refused this indecent proposal under the circumstances, I was ironically let go: "Welcome to Paris." A cynicism that perfectly sums up this establishment's total contempt for its guests.
