Great B&B in a beautiful area

We visited for racing on the Val de Vienne track and after arriving at chene vert we could directly have a well deserved beer in the lounge and a great diner after. Rooms were good and clean, good beds and one room were we stayed with 3 had a big bathroom. No bath but good shower. Breakfast was good with fab croissants and pain au chocolat. One drawback if you are light sleeper and you have the window open; not many cars on the road past the house but the cars that come by do that at a high speed creating bit of noise.

Not as calm as you might think.

Far from everything in the countryside, you might think it's total silence in the middle of the night, but NO, the cars pass noisily on the small road quite frequently, which means you have to close the window to sleep in peace.
That said, apart from the fact that there is no TV in the room, that the bed is 140, and that the staircase is very narrow for carrying luggage up and down, everything else is fine.
Welcome, cleanliness, large bathroom, and hearty breakfast.

Excellent B&B

A lovely B&B, the room was light, airy and very clean with comfortable matresses. Pam and John were very kind hosts, providing generous breakfasts, good home cooked food and enjoyable company. Thanks very much for looking after us so well!

What a truly wonderful place

We stayed at Le Chene Vert for 3 nights and just wished we had booked for more. What a truly fabulous place, we were so well looked after by John & Pam they could not do enough for us. The place is absolutely spotlessly clean and all the rooms are so spacious. Without any question this is the best B&B we have ever stayed at. John and Pam were both so accomodating they cooked us evening meal on one evening for a very reasonable price and it was home cooked food at its best. Don't even hesitate to stay here even if you have to travel a little further than you would like you WILL NOT be disappointed. Booking was so easy, a quick phone call and all was arranged. We will definitely be back to see you soon, thank you for a wonderful 3 days
