Comfort, calm and welcome in the hyper center of Calais ... exclusive hotels as we love them!
Ideally located in the city center, in a quiet and green area, a comfortable and generous classic, the decoration is neat, the welcome ate t ive and professional... to get out of aseptic places and have fun!

A welcoming, characterful hotel in a very convenient location

We stayed at Hôtel Meurice for one night while travelling with our dog, and overall it worked very well as a stop in Calais.
The hotel itself has a lot of character and is much more attractive inside than you might expect from a simple overnight stop. The reception was particularly welcoming and made a very good first impression.
Our room was also a pleasant surprise, with two separate bedrooms, which gave us much more space and privacy than a typical hotel family room. We were able to park directly in front of the hotel, which made arriving with luggage and a dog very easy.
For anyone travelling with a dog, the park immediately opposite the hotel is a real advantage. It made the evening and morning walks very convenient without having to drive anywhere.
The only disappointment was breakfast. Although the hotel accepts dogs, dogs aren’t allowed in the breakfast area, so we had to eat outside. It was manageable in good weather, but could be difficult on a cold or rainy morning. It would be great if the hotel could provide a small dog-friendly breakfast area somewhere inside.
Overall, a comfortable, characterful and very convenient dog-friendly stay, particularly for anyone stopping in Calais before or after a Channel crossing. The location, parking, spacious accommodation and friendly reception would make us consider staying again.

Always our choice when staying in Calais
My wife has stayed here since she was a child and I have for the last 15+ years whenever we pass through Calais. Always a very good standard with a good breakfast and an underground car park if required.
Only downside is that the hotel has no restaurant our favourite (Cafe de Paris) has permanently closed. We need to find a better alternative that the one we tried this year!

For ferry connection
The hotel is a good option for travelers using the ferry to Dover, as it is only a few minutes' drive from the port. Parking in the area is limited, so it is worth reserving a space in the hotel's garage. However, accessing the garage can be quite challenging, and you need to call the hotel to have the gate opened.
The hotel does not offer dinner service, but there are several restaurants nearby. The rooms are showing clear signs of wear and tear, so it is best not to expect too much.
