Breakfast was superb. The rooms well cleaned. Shopping center 300 meters away. Close to train station. Staff was well trained and their English good.

Very bad experience

We arrived 20:30 to the hotel, and wanted reception staff more than 45 minutes with a long queue of other guests. Finally after calling to Scandic info we reached the hotel reception staff from cleaning the rooms. Kids were tired and staff almost cried being stressed and overwhelmed with work load. This seems awful how Scandic level has dropped down and how they have no enough staff in July weekends. Receptions door was also wide open to guests to enter, which can’t be good.

4 nights stay

The hotel is located in the city of Asker about 20 minutes train ride from Oslo Central Station if you take a rapid train, the train Asker Station is itself just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, rates are normally cheaper than in Oslo proper specially during peak season and the area around is also very nice with some historic sites and lots of nature to visit . My room was very spacious and also have a kettle and a fridge which many Scandic hotels no longer have , breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options to choose . Hotel staff were very nice and always available

Too hot room

We booked one night in connection with a company in Asker. Upon arrival we found that the room was very warm and that the ventilation seemed poor. Information in the room informed that temperature adjustment had to be done via the reception, so we gave notice on the way to the event. The receptionist confirmed that the temperature should be reduced to 17 degrees. We also left a key card in the room switch in the hope that this would help activate the ventilation.
When we returned later in the evening, the room was still very warm – if anything even warmer and closer than before. We opened the window to get in fresh air and finally had to take the duves out of the duvet racks to have somewhat comfortable conditions throughout the night. Despite this, it became a warm and uncomfortable night with reduced sleep quality.
At the check-out we took this up with the reception, and it was confirmed that the ventilation did not work optimally. The hotel itself appears to be mature for renovation, but it was especially the room temperature and lack of ventilation that made the stay not worth the price.

Affordable hotel, poor restaurant

Pretty nice hotel. But probably the worst restaurant food, in the entire Scandic chain. And I've been to most of the hotels.
The main dish and intake came at exactly the same time.
I could accept that, I eat fast.
But their Caesar salad is undoubtedly the worst I've had in really, really many years.
The chicken was fat. Dressing.. it wasn't there
Parmesan was replaced with a very soft cheese, which both in consistency and taste, was identical to a Synnøve Gulost.
On the other hand, there were plenty of krutons without any taste.
The main dish.
Their ketchup was good.
Don't waste your money at the restaurant. The quality of Wolt is better.
