Not bad

170$ a night, which is expendive to me, the whole southern Ontario is over priced. Comfortable bed decent shower but the door wouldn’t close while your taking a shower , confusing controls for hot and water , good location with 24 hours Denny’s .

Clean room; nice staff; kitchen had everything we needed. Given vouchers for Moxie’s or Denny’s.

We purposely booked an accessible room as my wife is suffering a temporary leg condition. The pictures of the room on both hotels.com and their own website show walk in shower with a bench, as she currently requires that. Our room did not have one and we were told that none of the accessible rooms have them. So their photos are giving false information. However a note in the bathroom said that we can request a chair. We called the front desk next to do so and none was delivered. We called back and were told they didn’t have any. However the manager the next morning said they do have them always available and that the night clerk “was new and didn’t know”. That’s the laziest excuse possible. Obviously they don’t train new staff or care enough about these little details. My wife called Sandnam’s direct number, spoke to someone who would let the hotels manager know. We spoke to that manager upon check out and he knew nothing and was only offering 50% off. We insisted that we were told a full refund.
I’ve been a loyal customer of them for 3 years but that’s about to change as I easily stay somewhere else.

The hotel was great with dining in the hotel. Only problem was…..the liquid handwashing was empty. I asked for bar soap BUT THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY!

Not the best

A ‘Rate your experience’ grade doesn’t really capture the essence of the stay.
The stay itself was absolutely fine: staff very friendly and helpful, ample parking facilities and an ok room for what is essentially a functional budget hotel.
Location not great for us: industrial park on one side; a massive Wal Mart on another (which has its benefits) and a fairly busy road on the other.
Unless you have a car and/or love Dennys, you’re kinda stuck for breakfast options. We drove 10 minutes to Pür and Simple (which I would recommend as a side note).
Room cleaning was not great as we found evidence of papers etc that were there before our stay (so at least two cleaning visits had not resolved).
They have a ‘gym’ and a ‘swimming pool’ but in all honesty, they can hardly be described as that.
Had dinner in the Moxie’s next door one evening and that was enjoyable (and busy).
Wouldn’t go back in any rush if I am being completely honest.
