Ecoday camping, a property with a garden and a bar, is set in Fanano, 39 km from Rocchetta Mattei, 40 km from Abetone/Val di Luce, as well as 27 km from Manservisi Castle.

A fantastic stay immersed in nature!
We spent 3 days of vacation at this campsite, in a group of 8 children and 7 adults. The location is perfect for those who love nature, silence, and mountain air.
The owners were super kind and managed to meet all our expectations. We had a barbecue available to prepare our things, a refrigerator to store food and drinks, showers with hot water, and clean restrooms. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with typical local dishes, truly tasty and at fair prices.
The children had a great time and enjoyed the beauty of nature and the hike along the trail that starts directly from the campsite and reaches the center of Fanano. The landscapes are wonderful!
At the time of departure, being distracted with luggage, tents, and backpacks, we forgot a sweatshirt at the restaurant. We contacted Wiktor, the manager of Ecoday Camping - Il Castagno, and in a very short time, we received the sweatshirt directly at home.
It was a truly pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!

Quiet campsite but must improve the tourist offer
We stayed in their Bungalow for the week of August with our two dogs
Nice and clean house, with kitchen two bedrooms and a bathroom, a small balcony and a back space with attached garden but unfortunately not fenced. While the dog fence was located downstairs in a passage area, so they barked all the time.
Another thing no house is equipped with blades or fans so in the first days of incessant heat we had very hot inside the rooms.
Very nice and quiet setting a few kilometers from the center of Fanano, swimming pool too small for the number of people who access it and bar service that needs a reinforcement of staff.
There are several paths that lead from the campsite to a beautiful stream where you can swim.
The restaurant offers good value for money.
Overall we enjoyed it but we should improve the tourist offer.

Nice location, bad amenities
Very nice location, with very large and comfortable Bungalows. The service was not satisfactory with a bar restaurant (the Castagneto) where we had lunch in fact very well, but with a non-existent bar service being this closed at any time of the day, breakfasts that had to be present on Saturday and Sunday morning non-existent because the staff had been late the night before a concert that had been held in the village ..., staff that faced with our problem for which we had to interrupt two days in advance the stay we had booked did not give us any solution telling us only that we had to pay for the whole period because they had to send people away against our Reservation (note that the camping was practically deserted) without even proposing us for example an accommodation for a later period. experience that we will not repeat.

Perfect Bike Holiday at Ecoday Camping
We stayed in Fanano for one week in June. We spent there our Family Holiday with our campervan and two little children. Due to off season, there were no other campers. :) We had the campsite exclusivly. We felt very welcome.
The hospitality of Wiktor and Adriana was very obliging and Adriana is the best cook for Tortelloni.
The restaurant "il castagno" offers tasty specialities of the italien cuisine.
For the kids the campsite offers a huge playground and two trampolines.
The sanitary area is small and a little bit old, but clean and completly sufficient.
Next to the Campsite there is a nice path to Fanano. You can walk there easily with the kids. It takes app. 1/2 hour. You reach the river in 10 min. by foot. There´s a nice place to have a picnic or just enjoy the water and the nature.
We came to Fanano for biking and Wiktor offered us a private Shuttle to the best trails of Fanano. So the campsite is the perfect location to start your bike tours.
We highly recommend the Ecoday campsite and as well the region of Fanano to spent your holiday there. We enjoyed it very much, and we will come back one day!
