Living room GF White roads

We stayed here on the occasion of the GF white roads.
It is half an hour's drive from Siena located on the road through the village.
Unfortunately no parking just but looking is located along the streets.
It has been recently renovated although the rooms have a slightly old style.
Bed and pillows a little uncomfortable.
Hearty and varied sweet and savory breakfast. Great cappuccino for bars and not for machines. Availability of packaged gluten-free products.
Friendly and knowledgeable welcoming staff.

Big disappointment after 2 years

We had come there with my wife and baby in 2023 and it had been a positive experience. The hotel itself (not the annexe Il bersagliere) has nice rooms, not bad breakfast and good food for dinner, as well as a nice pool which is the highlight. But this time they sent us to the annex and the experience is not to be repeated: uncomfortable bed, poor cleaning (dust and sheet of the baby bed with a couple of drops of blood), in general the structure is old and you can see (the air conditioner is the only new element, but I do not know why they set it at 25 °, you can not change). Everything else remains (breakfast, restaurant, swimming pool), but with the inconvenience of having to cross the road. Finally, on the last night the lounge on the ground floor of the annex had been rented to a group of boys for some meeting. We were on the first floor and wanted to let the baby sleep (it was 9.30pm), but sometimes you could hear roars coming from below. I called the reception to ask for explanations and they told me that the room was rented for another hour, but that they would call so they wouldn't make noise. After 15 minutes, at the umpteenth roar with stadium-type choirs I had to go down to ask not to make noise and then they stopped (a sign that they had not been told anything). Very disappointing as an experience and it's a shame because we had a nice memory of this place, as well as Asciano (which remains a great reference point for visiting the area).

Recommended

We stayed for a couple of days recently and enjoyed it very much. The restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner, is also very good. Recommended
