Restaurant is good for breakfast and a late snack, there are a couple of places nearby. There are no stores or supermarkets; you have to go to nearby cities like Burguete to shop.

Make a reservation for dinner

While on the camino, we opted for a meal from the hotel instead of the pilgrims meal. Pro: we got to order from the full menu and enjoyed a meal of steak, frites and salad with a cold beer followed by a fantastic panna cotta for dessert. Con: it sure sounded like the folks at the pilgrims meal were having a great time. However, the reviews of the food were not very positive.

Great after a long hike on Camino super restaurant

After a long hike on the Camino we enjoyed the friendly place, beautiful 300 years old restored building, but the restaurant in the hotel was the best part. Best beef tenderloin I ever had with delicious salad and fries, breakfast buffet was very good as well.

Avoid here and stay at the other hotels

This Hostal was very disappointing. We were put in the basement (which should not be used for housing people). There was no air flow and even end of May it was freezing. There was no toilets or showers down there - all had to travel to level 2 which was difficult late at night. A staff member told us There were plans to put toilets and a bathroom down there despite the place being open for pilgrims for over 25 years.
There are dozens of beds down there and it's pot luck who you have next to you. We had 4 massively loud snorers and several of the hikers left at 3am because the noise was too much. Showers were mouldy and dirty but the toilets were clean. The volunteers are wonderful people but cannot, in good faith, recommend this hostel.

Never disappoints

We arrived much earlier than the expected time because it was snowing, and understandably, they could not assign us a room at that moment, but they made sure to do it as soon as possible and informed us right away
