I asked to leave my large backpack behind the counter as check in was at 4pm. The gentleman kindly let me check in just after 1pm so I could attend the festival I was attending on time!
Very helpful and kind staff, the room has everything you need, very clean and well decorated, located just a couple minutes walk from the train station.
Will definitely stay here again when next visiting the Manchester area!

Disappointing

This place seems to get good reviews but I can’t think why. It’s not cheap, £95 for a single room with breakfast. The single room was pokey and you were greeted by laminated signs everywhere telling you what you couldn’t do e.g. no takeaway food to be consumed in the room, which were quite blunt. A “please” would have been nice. It’s obviously quite an old building but as a result the room door was hard to shut and the floor creaked but the bed creaked too. For breakfast you had the choice of cereal and/or toast. I don’t call that a proper hotel breakfast. I was disappointed. I’d expected more.

Room was clean, staff were friendly and is not too far from town centre/supermarkets
If you plan on parking you may have to go early as there’s only a few spaces and it’s quite a tight squeeze
