Just Awful, Not Germany and a MarriNOT
We rushed out the door to make dinner and did not realize how thoroughly disgusting and unclean our rooms were. The photos I attached do not even begin to cover it.
Among the issues were various filth and hair throughout the room and carpeting. Various disgusting stains. NAILS left over for my previous female guest. Stickiness. Plus, beat up ragged floors.
They tried to remedy the issue, but it’s so offputting nothing really fixes this.
To add to the fun, the toilets don’t flush very well and should you perform a number 2 it will require 7 to 10 flushes. The water pressure in the shower is also a joke, rather a trickle.
Breakfast is also comprised of rather low quality ingredients and disgusting coffee. Most of the staff are quite cranky as well and are more than happy to bump into you rather than to give away as you proceed to the buffet. Clearly, they’ve never heard of guest right away!
This brand is inconsistent with Germany and any Marriott I’ve ever been to in the thousands of nights I’ve spent with them.

Breakfast was good and had a good variety. Gets quite busy on holidays and weekends, though.
The staff was professional and friendly.
We had a problem during check-in, where the front staff said that breakfast wasn't included, even though the Hotels.com reservation clearly said that breakfast buffet was included. So this was a bit bad first impression. After forwarding the hotels.com reservation to the hotel email they checked it again, and after a bit decided to honor it. So in the end it wasn't a problem at all, and we got the breakfast that we had paid for. No problems after that, but a bit weird experience still.
Parking is expensive, but I guess that's typical for Munich.
Pool is small for a hotel this large, and also gets very crowded during holidays.

This is not Marriott
The “Executive Lounge” is just part of the restaurant and only open in the evening. During the day — nothing. I was told at night it’s closed, only to find out the next day there was a fridge in front of the reception desk with drinks that no one mentioned.
The room is basic: empty minibar, instant coffee, small bathroom, visible wear.
If you’re a Marriott Elite member, you’ll likely be disappointed. If you’re okay with something closer to an Ibis-level stay, this might suit you.
For Marriott, this is simply not acceptable.

We are truly sorry that your experience did not fully meet your expectations, particularly regarding the lounge offering and room features. We completely understand how important these aspects are, especially as a valued Titanium Elite member, and we regret any confusion caused during your stay.
As discussed in our private correspondence, while our property does not offer a traditional Executive Lounge, we strictly follow Marriott Bonvoy standards by offering a choice of complimentary breakfast or points at check-in. We sincerely apologize if this was not clearly communicated upon your arrival. In addition, our Elite Zone and complimentary Lobby Market items are small, property specific gestures intended to further recognize our Elite members, though we understand they may not align with the expectations of a full lounge experience.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the room condition and amenities, and please be assured these have been shared with the relevant teams for review and improvement.
Regarding your upgrade request, we truly appreciate your understanding. Unfortunately, due to high occupancy during your stay, we were unable to offer an upgrade, and we regret that this impacted your overall experience.
Once again, it was a pleasure being in contact with you directly, and we are grateful for the opportunity to address your concerns. We genuinely hope to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a stay that better reflects both expectations and your loyalty to Marriott.
Kind regards from Munich,
Inee Sual

Great Munich base- Comfortable Rooms & Easy U-Bahn Access
A particularly lovely touch was the Easter chocolates left in each room which made the stay extra thoughtful and festive.
Breakfast was very busy but there was a variety of choices and even a live egg station to get eggs just the way you like it! We enjoyed evening drinks at the lounge which was a perfect way of relaxing after a full day of sightseeing.
The hotel is very conveniently located near the Nordfriedhof Station which made it incredibly easy to get around the city and explore Munich.
Overall a very comfortable stay with thoughtful touches and great location. We would definitely stay here again.
