Boutique hotel on the beach

This property is right on the beach, down a bumpy track from the main highway (307). It has it's own restaurant, and there are a few others within walking distance. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful, including toast, fruit, juice, coffee and eggs served in various ways (eg. with bacon, sausage, etc).
We were in room 1 - ground floor with a balcony looking out to sea. It was really spacious and comfortable, with sofas in the living area. The bathroom was huge and to me it felt like the design of the whole space started with the bathroom, the centre-piece of which was a huge whirlpool bath, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Bath salts were provided, along with dressing gowns. The toiletries were exceptional, especially two bars of really lovely soap for the shower and hand basin (as well as shower gel/shampoo and hair conditioner). The other thing that made the bathroom such a beautiful space was the lighting - lots of choices to create just the right atmosphere / allow you to relax. My only criticism is that there are not enough hooks etc to hang up wet towels to dry, which we wanted to do to prevent unnecessary laundry.
The bedroom and living area was also well appointed, with twin beds, two sofas, coffee table, a floor to ceiling wardrobe, fridge (ice available near the pool), coffee machine, bottled water, etc. Lots of space. The living area led out to a balcony right on the beach.
We were there at the height of the sargassum season. I didn't mind the smell (it reminded me of beach trips in the UK in my childhood), but others were not keen. We did observe hotel staff working really hard to clear the beach of the rotting sargassum, but this was very manual labour (as opposed to the tractors we observed at bigger hotels in Playacar) and was very much work in progress. The beach must be really stunning when the sea is clear. It was, however, possible to escape the sargassum by spending time on the hotel's beautiful pier, which includes shelter from the sun and hammocks, and when the breeze is blowing off the sea this tempers the seaweed smell. It was so relaxing to laze on one of the hammocks, partly reading my book, partly dozing and partly looking out frigate birds and pelicans swooping overhead.
The pool was beautiful, clean and cool. The hotel supplies beach towels. The sunbeds are on the beach, with large sunshades.
The only other thing that seemed a bit odd was that whilst the breakfast was included, the waiter asked for a substantial tip on our first morning, and basically sent me back to my room to get some cash. I queried this with the reception and was told the tip wasn't obligatory. It didn't happen again.

The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, really nice people. The communication with the hotel prior to our trip was quick and efficient too. We had a few questions and would sometimes respond within minutes. When we got to our room, I noticed they had upgraded our room to one facing the ocean, what a pleasant surprise.
The beach was clean and well maintained. Given that it was seaweed season, there was an employee raking and clearing it every morning and going over the sand with a rake after he was done with the seaweed. It was the only hotel where this was done daily.
The restaurant staff was also very friendly, pleasant and helpful, we will miss our daily morning Spanish lesson while having breakfast 😊
Now beware, Tulum is expensive, eating out is not cheap and taxi will cost 💲 but all and all we had had a great and enjoyable time.

Amazing boutique beach hotel away from the traffic of Tulum's hotel zones craziness

"An alluring small boutique hotel, located on a beautiful beach away from the hustle and bustle of Tulum's hotel zone. Laid back with no traffic and a refreshing cenote just a few steps away. My girlfriend and I stayed in the ocean front suite with amazing panoramic views of the sapphire ocean. The rooms were very clean, and the bed and linens very comfortable, well finished with granite marble Greco Roman style architecture. Ocean breezes at night on the balcony were amazing to relax and let go. Well designed large appointed room with a Jacuzzi to unwind with a bottle of champagne * the staff was extraordinary. Free kayaks and paddle boards great for catching the sunsets and a small refreshing pool. I can't say enough about this charming little hotel and its amazing staff creating a relaxing experience that was well needed” 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The power went out 2 out of 4 nights of my stay. No accommodations made are advise onwhat to do. We were in complete darkness for several hours.
Also, there was construction ended on the roof. Very loud, not relaxing.
